Alpinestars SP-S Glove
Slick, technical short glove for the right price
I bought these to upgrade the protection compared to a pair of Cruise Missile gloves from S&S that I own. I knew Astars made good stuff, I had a pair of Thunder gloves years ago that I loved, but they got wrecked from moisture.
These guys are snug, but I am confident they'll break in nicely. For the size chart, I was on the higher end of medium, but they definitely fit right and once the leather softens it'll be awesome.
Between these, the Cruise Missiles and a pair of Goretext Dainese guantlet gloves, I think I've got my hands covered. These are definitely a good balance between the comfort of the S&S gloves and the protections of the Dainese gloves, and I feel the maneuverability they afford is a good compromise for the shortened cuff.
Super thrilled to break em in!

My favorite pair of gloves!
• Durable - I've had these for well over 6 months and they're still in great condition.
• Comfortable - I've used these on 400+ mile trips and never got blisters or achy hands.
• Breathe-able material for summer time and are good for slightly chilly evenings.
• Protective - I haven't wrecked in these gloves but they're made of leather and have carbon fiber knuckles in case of a wreck.
• Stylish - they're black so they match any other color gear you may have, heat stamped "Alpinestars" on wrist strap, Alpinestars signature logo embroidered in white, all stitching is a grayish color.
• Not waterproof whatsoever. I've been in heavy rain with these gloves and they get very uncomfortable and sopping wet the second rain hits it. After they're soaked with water, if you take your hands out, there will be purple dye all over your hands and will stain the inside of the glove and Alpinestars signature logo.
• Some of the threads are coming out but only in small areas.

Good but runs small
I'm a new rider and this was my first experience purchasing riding gloves. My hand was sized at about a large so that's what I bought. Trying it on I found that it was incredibly tight and hard to get on. The palm feels too small and the protective wrist pads seem slightly too high up, which is mostly due to the fact that the fingers are slightly too short. They look really nice and I've had people ask about them. The wrist and palm padding are a nice feature on short cuff gloves, yet the fingers only receive an extra layer of leather(that's stitched on slightly off center). They are a lot more comfortable after having been broken in but still tight around the base of the fingers when griping handles. May need a size larger than you think.

great gloves after breakin
Fit small, but after wearing them around the house for a couple days, well they fit like a glove now. I ordered one size up and the were a little tight around the palm area, but they are great now. Cuff will not fit over a jacket sleeve, but it is a short cuff glove so go figure. Worth the price when they are on sale.

Phenomenal product for price
These gloves fit perfectly. I purchased another brand of gloves for 20$ cheaper with an off brand name and was seriously disappointed. These gloves fit perfect, allow for movement and don't cause any sort of discomfort in the hand, knuckles, or wrist as my cheap no name brand gloves did. I really enjoy these gloves. They also allow for ventilation if it is hot, but not overt amount of air flow if it's cold. Very well designed gloves. Well done Alpinestars.

Great fit and feel
I owned a pair of this gloves from back in 2009 and these new gloves are outstanding. Feel great inside and do not make your hands too hot on hot days and with the help of some glow inserts keeps your hands fairly warm when riding in <50 weather. Great purchase for the everyday rider!

Good everyday glove
This is the second pair of alpinestars glove that I have had. After my dog ate one of the gloves from my first pair, I decided to go back with alpinestars. This glove is very comfortable and offers good protection, and looks great. I have about 3k miles on them so far and they are holding up extremely well. I have no doubt these well last me for a long time to come. If you live in cooler climate though you may want to get something else. Below 60 degrees is about the limit you may want to wear these at as these gloves vent really well.

Fit like a mesh glove, protection like a gauntlet.
I've owned many different gloves that range from mesh to leather gauntlet and these by far take the cake. They fit nice and tight on the hand so you don't have extra fabric hanging around, the protection it offers is outstanding, and the way they look is awesome. I've never been a fan of the full knuckle carbon fiber but this glove offers the same quality protection without the discomfort and over-the-top looks. The only issue I have with these is there is slight fading from the sun but that's any glove if you go on long enough rides to tan the leather. I have had my pair for a little more than a year and when I need to replace them, it will be with another pair of these.
