Alpinestars Ablaze Riding Jeans
Very nice Jeans
I just pulled these out of the box today. I was worried about them being too light in color, as in the picture they look stonewashed, like that old-school jean color. They are not. They are a lot darker, just like they appear in the video. They feel heavy and of good quality. Kevlar in the seat and knees. Knee pads and very thing hip pads (you don't even notice them). I am 6ft 175 lbs. I wear a 32x32 levis and a 33x32 old navy. I ordered the 32. They fit around the waist like my 33's. The length is fine, maybe just slightly long when standing, but you want that when you're tucked up on the bike. I don't know about protection, but I know these are better than regular jeans. You could easily just wear them out and about and look pretty cool. Good buy :)

While I do feel more protected wearing these jeans than I do wearing regular jeans, they feel big to size and fit irregular. I'm 6'2", 200 lbs, athletic build and wear 36/34 jeans. So I ordered size 36. The waist is a little big even with the hip pads in (will fit great with cold weather gear) and the length is too long (I've been wearing them with the cuffs rolled up, considering having them hemmed that way). They said the knee pads were adjustable. If they mean they move up when you're sitting on the bike, then they are. They cannot be adjusted into a set position while off the bike. Wearing them, I feel like I look in my youth football picture when my knee pads were down around my shins. I like the removable hip and knee pads and do feel protected.

This product is exactly what is advertised
Due to my large size (6'5" 260 lbs) it's hard to find things that fit, but Alpinestars has hit a home run with these comfortable riding jeans. Length is proportionate with the waist size, and I even had enough room in my hips and thighs, even when folded up on a sport bike. I also didn't feel as if I was wearing my grandpa's jeans, and I would even go so far as to say they are an athletic cut. I normally wear a 38" waist, but jeans don't always fit in the thighs, so I ordered a size larger and it was the right decision. These pants run true to size for a normal sized human. There was even enough room for the hip pads. I would recommend the purchase of these jeans and have worn them on several three hour highway rides.

. I really like these riding pants.
I tried 3 pairs of pants before I locked onto these. I'm 6 feet 2 / 180 pounds. I took the 36 inch waist. Even with the hip pads the pants still fit around my waist. I rode in these pants in all types of weather. On the last day of the rally I was caught in a rain storm w/o any rain gear. Pants performed better than I expected. The extra padding in the knees and in the hip areas kept me warmer in the cooler weather. But on the warmer days I didn't think they added any extra heat. The day it rained - the padding kept the wet cloth off my legs. I liked the way the pants looked as I walked around in them when I was off the scooter. The body armor didn't distract from the appearance of the jean .
I felt a little safer knowing I was wearing these pants too.

Better than nothing
Very pricey for a pair of jeans with limited protection. But they fall into the category of "better than no gear" and I've no doubt these will fare better than standard jeans in a crash. These are great for quick rides, or if you're headed somewhere where true riding pants will be a hindrance. Fit was spot on, but plan on hemming if you don't want to be dragging the cuffs whenever you're off the bike.

Nice jeans, a bit long though.
Overall typical good Astars quality but, the the inseam is a little long for short guys. I wear a 36x32 in regular jeans and I ordered a 38. I am 5'9" 230 lbs stocky build and they were pretty long but, wearable. They were a bit large in the waist as I suspected ordering a size larger but, with the hip pads in they fit perfect.

good quality, comfortable
The quality is outstanding. fit was accurate based on size charts provided by Revzilla....do NOT go by your Levis, these do not follow those.... rather pay attention to the hip and thigh measurements from the size chart...I went with the 36 and the fit is perfect even though my Levis are 34...also the Kevlar is there in the places that seem to need it the most...but they are not lined 100%. Pads are surprisingly comfortable and you forget you have padded jeans on...

Just buy leathers
I bought these with the intention of having some jeans I could wear out casually after I got to my destination.
What I got are some of the worst fitting Jeans Ive had on and off the bike. Firstly the Knee pads are awkward and not very well formed, and the inside of the knee has some mesh on it which is actually really abrasive and rough on your knee. The bottoms are way to baggy and flap violently at anything faster than jogging speed. And then the material bunches in your crotch, slowly cutting circulation to your legs and making any drive longer than 20min unbearable.
Now partially this is due to the fact that there is never a size 33 so I have to go up to size 34, but In general as a Jean they are a disappointment. My flatmate has some Draggin Jeans which suffer from the same cut issues but are at least a heck of allot more comfortable.
If I could get my money back you wouldn't have to ask me twice.
