Akrapovic exhaust for 2013 V-strom
I wanted a quality exhaust for my 2013 Suzuki v-strom. I also had a concern that the Akrapovic would work with my new Motech centerstand. Thanks to a previous review of this product, I read that it's compatable, so I ordered the exhaust.
I have the white V-strom, and the carbon Akrapovic looks and sounds fantastic. The Revzilla service was great, and I received the product in 3 days. The only issue was the installation instructions were based on the older V-strom model, which caused a little confusion. This exhaust is not cheap, but if you have the cash, and plan on keeping your bike, go for it.

Great fit and finish, Easy to install and Great sound
First off, Thank you Revzilla for great customer service, faster shipping than expected and for the awesome product knowledge & video/s you offer your customers
I own a 2012 DL650 White and chose the Carbon system which looks very good with the White/black theme. Great fit and finish, easy to install (but take your time) with great detailed instructions. The sound (without the insert/baffle) is very nice and it gives the Strom some much needed character.
Point of interest: My main concern regarding fitment was the center stand I purchased (SW-Motech). I am pleased to tell you that there is plenty of space between the stand and the welded center stand stop on the pipe (which is there for the Suzuki style center stand) when the stand is in the up position. Took a 250 mile ride the day after install and I'm very pleased with the sound and slight performance increase. The pipes have turned a nice "golden" color which adds even more character to the exhaust system.

Looks good, quality of welds, easy install, sounds great.
I have a 2013 Blue dl650 and chose the Titanium. The fit is perfect, the Oxygen sensor fit with no adapter. I took my time and maybe 2.5 hours total removal of stock and install. I had 700 miles on the bike before I put the Akrapovic on. I can ride with the db killer out but decided to modify the too effective db killer for my commute. First I cut a couple inches off the db killer tube, later I drilled 6 holes about 1/4 inch and finally lopped off a bit more of the tube at an angle to increase the opening more. It was trial and error but now it sounds perfect to me. At idle it has a quiet rumble and when you open it up, you know it. I can hear it at freeway speeds. No popping on decel either, just a deep growl. I have 975 miles on the dl650 now and the motor seems to accelerate better than with the stock exhaust.

Mark C:Sorry but I only have a top box. The Akrapovic is a bit smaller than the stock unit and tucks in pretty tight. You really need to contact Jesse's luggage. I did see some online pics with the stock exhaust. The key issue would be where the mounts attach to the bike and where the support pieces for the brackets are routed.May 16, 2015
Gregory L:Not sure if the Jesse's luggage will fit, i'm currently not using any luggage. The Akrapovic system is much closer to the frame/bike than the stock system so if your luggage brackets will fit the "stock" system I would think that they would fit but better to check with Jesse's for proper fit for brackets.May 17, 2015
James Lynn M:I can't say for sure about AltRider, but it fits perfect with SWmoto skid plate and also OE center stand. I had these same question when i was shopping for Akrapovic. You will like the exhaust I am very particular about everything i put on my bike, i will say i was very pleased with everything about the exhaust..Mar 25, 2015
Gregory L:Yes I have the Motech cernter stand and it works fine with the Akrapovic exhaust. The Akrapovic is designed to work with the OEM stand. No mods needed at all. Make sure you take your time removing the stock system and installing the new on. Hint: put tape on the swing arm area because you will need to wiggle/move back and forth the stock system in order to remove it and you will touch/hit the swing arm if you are not careful. Good LuckSep 11, 2014
David W:I can't say for sure. I have a motec center stand with no issues. I don't have the adventure model so I'm not sure if there will be any interference with the new exhaust system. Maybe a little more searching on the internet. Highly recommend the new Akrapovic though. Good luck. Apr 27, 2014
