Akrapovic Slip-On Exhaust Kawasaki ZX6R / ZX636 2009-2015
Better than I tought
Was on the market for an exhaust to replace to stock one. Originally I was looking for a short mount. After looking at the options and trying to compare the sound, I decided that I didn't want something that would be annoying after a month.
Came across Akrapovic and couldn't find anything bad. The sound is deep and not annoying loud. Although I haven't been in the high RPM's in the short time that I've had it, I'm really liking the sound so far.
There is definitely louder exhausts out there. This one gives you that nice deep and louder than stock sound (baffle off). It also looks better in person and now I don't mind the standard mount.

The Akrapovic Slip-On Exhaust is a bit spendy but I think worth every penny. It's Aesthetically pleasing and sounds amazing on my bike. The only gripe I have is that it doesn't come with a heat shield for the exposed pipe between the underbelly and canister. Though I have not yet been burned or melted any pants or shoes, It's a decently large section of unprotected pipe that could cause some pain if you're not careful. Other than that this Pipe sounds freaking amazing when bike is screaming through the back roads.

the quality and sound is amazing
i was against the fence in choosing what slip-on i would install on my bike, from the red-line scorpion, to MP4, L.V, yoshi or akra. YouTube really doesn't give it any justice. it wasn't until i hit up the montain trails and parked on an offramp just to listen the bikes roll-by under load, not just being revved as soon as being turned on. if you want a very reasonably noise level that sound awesome in the deep tune, than this is the one. quality, finish, performance, all of this is great for those track enthusiast, but for a commuter like myself that want that look, not too loud volume, sound tune. by far this is the best and worth saving the extra $100 bucks. yoshi sound good too, but on the high end whinny tune, L.V. sounds like a H.D. with loose screws, and MP4, well it sounds like all you have in your bike is the headers.
to each its own.

2012 Ninja ZX-6R w/ Akra Slip-On
Bought this for my bike after extensive research and review reading. I was down to this or the equally well reviewed Leo Vince Factory R EVO II Slip-On. I decided on the Akra, due to a few comments about the quality of the finish (bolts, connectors, etc) I'm sure the Leo would have made me smile also.
I was expecting a lot more noise, based on youtube vid's. You CAN NOT tell what a pipe will sound like via youtube. Fair warning.
While I'm not the loudest and most annoying exhaust on the road, I think I'm one of the better sounding. Others hear me come/go but it's a good quality sound from the pipe. Not loud like my wife Leo Vince GP slip-on. In fact, her 300 might be louder than my 600 now.
All in all, if you just want loud, you can find louder. If you want quality and a slip-on that everyone else doesn't have.......buy the Akra.
