Especially from 3500 rpm on, the Akrapovič Slip-On exhaust system adds an increase in power, all the way up to the top of the rpm range. Optional Stainless Steel Headers avaliable for even more power.

NOTE: Please check local laws before purchasing. Some modifications may be prohibited in some states.

NOTE: The Stainless Steel slip-on is EC approved and the Carbon Fiber slip-on is not EC aprroved.

Sounds amazing This slip on looks and sounds amazing. I was also surprised how light it was compared to the heavy stock exhaust. July 14, 2014
Good product Excellent combination of performance, design and durability July 21, 2014
Great exhaust I am very pleased with the new slip on exhaust. Extremely high quality materials. Easy install in less than 45 minutes. Sounds great with a noticeable bump in power. Plus it looks way better than stock. July 14, 2014
Looks and sounds great, not louder than stock but good tone Very easy install, hardest part was unpacking the box, no special tools or skills required. Nice look, throaty sound. July 7, 2014
Akrapovic Carbon Fiber Slip-On This exhaust passes all the grades with A's. Weight savings, fit and finish, ease of installation(45 min), sound no need to take the baffle out, and performance whether you actually are quicker as graphs show, it feels and sounds like you are. Revzilla gets Aces for customer service by price matching a competitor very quickly. Bang for buck is Average due to high cost. You do get what you pay for in this case. Durability unknown only 400 miles so far. May 12, 2014
as advertised...easy to install Looks good, sounds good...good luck removing the baffles... Not happening... June 2, 2014
Sounds Amazing The Akrapovic Slip-On Exhaust is a bit spendy but I think worth every penny. It's Aesthetically pleasing and sounds amazing on my bike. The only gripe I have is that it doesn't come with a heat shield for the exposed pipe between the underbelly and canister. Though I have not yet been burned or melted any pants or shoes, It's a decently large section of unprotected pipe that could cause some pain if you're not careful. Other than that this Pipe sounds freaking amazing when bike is screaming through the back roads. May 26, 2014
If you like music... This is the exhaust. I love the notes on it. The look is incredible. Bike just feels different with this on it. It was pretty easy to install. One thing I didn't know was it comes with a 'silencer' on it already. I put it on first and it sounded louder but still tame. Then I realized ,I could take the silencer out and the beast awakened. A shopper asked: The note says the carbon fiber option isn't EC approved, but what does that mean? Aug 8, 2013

Paul M: Not being EC approved most likely refers to it not being approved for road use by the European Commission. If you go to Akrapovic's website you may notice some exhaust have this approval and some don't. For example the SS series is EC compliant if you add the catalytic converter. EC compliance could be related to noise or emissions both in this case. Unless your in Europe I wouldn't worry about it but at the same time neither the SS or Carbon exhaust is CARB compliant so if you're in California it could be an issue for you. Aug 8, 2013

Louis-Daniel B: from wikipedia:

The CE marking or formerly EC mark, is a mandatory conformity marking for products sold in the European Economic Area (EEA) since 1993.[1]

It consists of the CE-Logo and, if applicable, the four digit identification number of the notified body involved in the conformity assessment procedure.

The CE marking is the manufacturer's declaration that the product meets the requirements of the applicable EC directives.[2]

The actual words signified by "CE" have been disputed. It is often taken to be an abbreviation of Conformité Européenne, meaning "European Conformity".[3] However, "CE" originally stood for "Communauté Européenne", French for "European Community". In former German legislation, the CE marking was called "EG-Zeichen" meaning "European Community mark". The CE marking is a symbol of free marketability in the European Ecomomic Area (Internal Market).

HOWARD B: Hi There

EC Approval is basically the muffler is or is not approved for use on the road in the European Community

It is much the same as any road use approval for any country or state

If you happen to get a pedantic police officer then you may have a bit of trouble convincing him of the noise level being legal

The product may be approved for road use in other countries/states but in this case not in Europe

If you are not sure it would be wise to contact your local licensing centre

I hope this helps

Neal H: I believe EC stands for European Council, which is a department that regulates environmental safety and approval systems for motor vehicles. Only valid in Europe. I could be wrong though. Aug 8, 2013
