Superb Overall Quality
The build and craftmanship is of the highest quality I have seen in a carbon fiber exhaust. There is a minor discrepancy with the installation manual, though: Akrapovic forgot to indicate that some of the pieces will be lacking in the package because they intended the consumer to use pieces from the stock equipment of the motorcycles (i.e. stock screws, bolts, etc...). However, direction is very straight-forward & easy to understand. The online literature is also very helpful. Good job! I can't be any happier with the purchase. Thank you!

Great noise and nice finish
The slip on kit was quite nice and fairly easy to install. I don't have the tools so I took it to a shop and they did the install in about 30 mins. Basically, you can do the install with just a set of Allen Key from what I observe.
I leave the db killer in and the noise is not much louder then the stock cans so I took the db killer out and the bike came alive.
One thing about this pipe is that they require you to install a new set of mounts meaning you cannot use the original exhaust mounts like other kit. The drawback is I have got a fender eliminator kit and now the new mount is blocking the access to the key hole that opens up your seat. Now I cannot open my seat which is somewhat troublesome if you need access to something under the seat. Also the pipe doesn't line up when you look at it from the rear. Some minor adjustment require i guess.

Definately a vast improvement compared to stock. Was unsure on carbon vs titanium, but glad I went with carbon in the end. Suits black/red look of Monster and pipes stay cool. Fantasic compact look & real easy to install - had no problems whatsoever. Sound is definately more raspy than stock - but not too loud, what I was looking for.

Fit well. Nicely made. Looks and sound are subjective, but I like them a lot, and I'd be surprised if anyone put them on and didn't. The installation was very easy. Akrapovic even included the thread locking compound. Here's a video of the sound: http://youtu.be/6cT-upzMd8Y .

In the product description, it advises that a power commander is recommended. It this true for a 09 ducati monster 1100. From the reviews I have read, no one has mentioned doing this. Should you remap/use a power commander or can you literally just take them out of the box and install them yourself?

you can just plug and play it but if you want the most out of it a actual tune and dyno would be the best idea. my buddy has a 12 600rr and he bought a commander and brought it down to Wisconsin to get dyno tuned and hes using like 30% more fuel now but its also alot faster.
