Akrapovic Slip-On Exhaust Ducati Monster 696 796 1100/S
Great product, one small issue
I installed these on my 696, very simple and quick process. Make sure to check the bolts that keep the db killers in before you start the installation, though, one of mine was welded to the cans, which made it impossible to remove. It doesn't matter to me though, as I didn't intend to take the db killers out anyway due to the volume. I just drilled holes into the db killers until I got the tone I wanted, which worked as a nice middle ground.
I didn't expect any performance gains, but there was a slight and noticeable boost in power. Pleasant surprise. They look far better than the stock cans, obviously.
I'm not sure if there is a correlation, but I used to have the common problem of cold starting the monster, and it would always take a few tries when the weather got below 70. Now it starts up every single time without any trouble, and the fast idle lever actually works like it's supposed to. That alone made it well worth the money for me.

Superb Overall Quality
The build and craftmanship is of the highest quality I have seen in a carbon fiber exhaust. There is a minor discrepancy with the installation manual, though: Akrapovic forgot to indicate that some of the pieces will be lacking in the package because they intended the consumer to use pieces from the stock equipment of the motorcycles (i.e. stock screws, bolts, etc...). However, direction is very straight-forward & easy to understand. The online literature is also very helpful. Good job! I can't be any happier with the purchase. Thank you!

Great noise and nice finish
The slip on kit was quite nice and fairly easy to install. I don't have the tools so I took it to a shop and they did the install in about 30 mins. Basically, you can do the install with just a set of Allen Key from what I observe.
I leave the db killer in and the noise is not much louder then the stock cans so I took the db killer out and the bike came alive.
One thing about this pipe is that they require you to install a new set of mounts meaning you cannot use the original exhaust mounts like other kit. The drawback is I have got a fender eliminator kit and now the new mount is blocking the access to the key hole that opens up your seat. Now I cannot open my seat which is somewhat troublesome if you need access to something under the seat. Also the pipe doesn't line up when you look at it from the rear. Some minor adjustment require i guess.

Definately a vast improvement compared to stock. Was unsure on carbon vs titanium, but glad I went with carbon in the end. Suits black/red look of Monster and pipes stay cool. Fantasic compact look & real easy to install - had no problems whatsoever. Sound is definately more raspy than stock - but not too loud, what I was looking for.

Fit well. Nicely made. Looks and sound are subjective, but I like them a lot, and I'd be surprised if anyone put them on and didn't. The installation was very easy. Akrapovic even included the thread locking compound. Here's a video of the sound: http://youtu.be/6cT-upzMd8Y .
