Akrapovic Slip-On Exhaust Ducati 848 / EVO / 1098 S / R / 1198 / S

The Akrapovic Slip-On Exhaust represents the first step into the world of exhaust system tuning. By no means entry level, it offers a great balance between price and performance. Each bespoke exhaust is designed to enhance the performance and match the design philosophy of your motorcycle. Transform the nature of your bike by adding not just more power, but also that unique, deep and resonant Akrapovic sound. Whether your choices are carbon fiber or titanium, you can be sure that every step in the R&D, design and manufacturing processes of each exhaust has been performed by a team of highly skilled and experienced engineers.

It’s not just about peak power - Akrapovic exhaust systems deliver increased performance throughout the entire RPM range. Increases in power and torque result in a much smoother power delivery and ride. All Akrapovic exhaust system measurements are formulated on in-house computer-controlled flow benches.

Mandatory for the Duc Well it took a year for me to finally pull the trigger but now that I have the Akros on my 848 I have to say - what took me so long!? I looked at every exhaust out there and scoured the forums. I have to say that these pipes are the BEST addition - period! Fit and finish is amazing. That is what changed my mind from some other more affordable pipes and even the Termis. Sound will blow your mind. I go out to the garage just to start it so I can hear what this superbike should sound like! That deep rumble is incredible. Weight advantage over stock is reason enough. I think the stock pipes weighed in at like 15 pounds. The Akros came in at like 7.5. That is a big difference sitting up high. Power increase is very noticable but I didn't buy them for that reason. Here are my decibel readings at idle for stock and Akrapovics: Stock = 94 db avg Akro with db = 98 db avg Akro with no db = 104 avg Bike seems to run cooler now that it can breathe! Zilla did a great job getting them here in 2 days - free ship! August 25, 2015
Best sounding exhaust for the Ducati! I heard this thing in person and was hooked. I had to get one on my 848 EVO and it sounds incredible! I love riding through tunnels and parking garages just to hear this thing rumble. It was very easy to install, it's very well made and the fit was lazer perfect; they did their homework fitting this thing to the Ducati chassis. I took the silencers out; well worth it and not "ugly" loud. June 2, 2015
Who Dat? I have to admit, The Akrapovic Slip-On purchase was one of vanity. There was no way I was going to do a track day with the OEM exhaust. That and a Hello Kitty sticker and I'd be all set - right? On the practical side though, I wanted something that I could ride on the street as well without the hassle of changing over to a DP ECU. Enter my Slovenian friends - Akrapovic. As advertised, perfect fit, great sound, quality product. Revzilla even price matched for me during the holiday madness. My only GRIP would be Akrapovic didn't supply any extra stickers for my fairings...yeah, that's it. Not like I'd stick them on my car or anything....Thanks Revzilla for getting them to me in perfect condition. December 2, 2014
Best addition to my EVO so far! The Akra carbon slip-ons made a huge difference in the sound and appearance of my 2013 EVO Corse SE. The contour of the exhaust perfectly matches the bikes tail. Oh, and the sound! Remove the DB killers for a much deeper exhaust note than stock. Sounds great! March 20, 2014
AKRAPOVIC carbon slip-on. I like that Anthony that does the reviews, I like how REVZILLA shipped my slip-ons to Hawaii FOR FREE and I love my AKRAPOVIC carbon slip-ons. Initially and if money were no object, I may have ordered the Termis. NOT ANY MORE. AKRAPOVIC slip-ons could be no better. The sound is indescribable, the looks are smoking hot (Especially, on my arctic white Ducati 848 EVO.) the quality and price can not be beat. Add to that that DUCATI is selling AKRA's on some of their bikes and I could not be more pleased. Honestly, I had a little tiny bit of buyer's remorse at initial start up. (It sounded stock.) I spent about two minutes removing the noise reducers and my bike went from BADAZZ to BADAZZ with a screaming BADAZZ exhaust. The snap, crackle and pop on deceleration is SIIIICK! A GREAT purchase from a GREAT vendor. March 17, 2014
awesome sound for my ducati! awesome sound for my ducati!, very lightweight and looks great compared to the stock exhaust. June 6, 2011

Nelson S: Bang for the buck! Apr 3, 2015
Eric M: Product Brand/Reputation. Also, needed a system that was road legal and race ready with no modifications to my ECU. Nov 14, 2014
Christopher N: Very well built exhaust, fantastic sound on my 848 EVO Corse. Apr 28, 2014
James S: Man do I love my Carbon AKRAPOVIC slip ons with the noise reducers removed. My 848 EVO sounds INSANE. I am all about the snap, crackle, pop on deceleration and these do not disappoint. They look GREAT too. I honestly may have chosen Termignoni if they were not more expensive but they were and I didn't. I could not be more happy with my AKRAPOVIC slip ons. Not only that, shortly after I received my BEAUTIFUL carbon AKRAPOVIC, I read that DUCATI is switching FROM Termignoni TO AKRAPOVIC. Apr 14, 2014
A shopper asked: I have a ducati 1198s. Is it worth the money to spend this much on some slip ons? My factory exhaust already has good sound but could be better May 14, 2014

Fred K: Hi:

I checked it out on youtube, it helped for me to decide. It is a improvement on my K1300S (bmw). Stay safe, keep the rubber on the road. Good luck.

Peter S: I personally wouldn't if I have a Ducati. You pay so much for a nice motorcycle, why change it. Just my personal HO. I have a CBR250, boy did mod that bike out. May 29, 2014

James S: I paid REVZILLA somewhere around $1200 for carbon AKRAPOVIC slip ons. I personally thought that my 848 EVO was too quiet. Further, I thought that the AKRAPOVIC exhaust looked much better than stock. I installed the AKRAPOVIC's and really did like the improved looks, but was a little disappointed in the sound. It sounded VERY similar to stock. That was until I removed the noise reducers. (It is two bolts and takes about two minutes to remove them.) With the noise reducers removed the AKRAPOVIC slip ons are ABSOLUTELY PRICELESS. They look better and sound ABSOLUTELY INSANE! The snap, crackle, pop on deceleration is AWESOME! Hope this helps. A shopper asked: Hi there. I'm wondering in case I buy the Akrapovic silencers for my Ducati 1098 if I'd have to change the ECU tune as well. Does anyone know for sure? Thanks in advance Jul 3, 2015

robin h: Hi Shopper,

I know for sure...

I installed Akrapovic sip-ons on my 2010 1198S.
It is not necessary to reflash the ECU after installing the slip ons. My Ducati runs better than ever now and sounds really good (without the DB killers installed). Later you may choose to have a reflash done, but for now consider installing a Ducati Preformance air filter or a K&N filter (NOT the race spec filter; that WOULD require fuel management modifications).
I don't think you will be disapointed with the sound, look or performance of the Akrapovic's
Go for it...
