Akrapovic Megaphone Slip-On Exhaust Yamaha YZF-R6

For riders who do not want to make any major modifications to the Yamaha R6, the Akrapovic Slip-On system is an excellent choice, giving a lot of results for a simple installation. The Akrapovic Slip-On system is an outstanding combination of high quality workmanship, performance, affordability and aesthetic enhancement. The distinctive GP-style muffler fits well in the mounting position and goes fantastically with the lines of the bike.

Power & Torque: The R6’s engine spins more freely with the Akrapovic Slip-On system, which is reflected in the power and torque curves. The amount of increased power expands as you go up the rpm range, so that at 14560 rpm the rear wheel puts out 111.4 HP. Max. increased power of 1.2. HP was measured at a screaming 14580 rpm.

Note: CARB compliant for use in California. Please check local laws before purchasing. Some modifications may be prohibited in some states.

Awesome slip on! The Akrapovic Megaphone Slip On is imo one of the best slip-ons available for the R6. It not only sounds amazing, but it gets rid of the heavy and bulky stock bazooka exhaust. 10/10 would recommend. April 25, 2014
Best Bang for the Buck slip-on exhaust out there!!! From a riders standpoint, we all know how dedicated Akrapovic is to the quality of their products. And releasing this megaphone model was one good decision they made. It is very lightweight and durable due to its titanium construction. Akrapovic made a very good R&D when it comes to sound and power. For the retail price, its difficult to find a muffler that sounds and performs quite as well as this. Bought this product and installed it to my Gixxer 750, plug and play, installed it myself.. Got no regrets, all smiles for me. Another satisfied customer right here.. Thanks Akrapovic.. Thanks Revzilla... October 17, 2013
Good price for an excellent quality I purchased the Akra GP slip on for my 2012 Z1000 after installing a full racing Akra on my 2005 ZX6r. They look real nice and the sound is amazing. I looked up the sound online on YouTube and they are pretty similar: expect a real throaty sound, but (I removed the Db killers) it is not to the point where the bike is making your ears bleed. Installation is very simple. For me, removing the exhaust valve cables was the worst part. Release the cables from the canister side first because the servo motor can be temperamental and any damage to it will cause the FI light to remain on. Finally, to throw the springs on, just use an allen wrench to pull up and loop it on the exhaust, don't bother buying the special spring tool for it. All in all, a very good exhaust that does exactly what it was intended for. May 10, 2013

Christopher J: The check engine light is from the ExUP Servo motor. You will ether need to pick up a Exup Servo Eliminator roughly $65 or do a mod. Feb 14, 2014
