Best slipon for the Ninja 300 period! Purchased a Delkevic based on forum reviews. The slip on is not track legal, made the bike run sluggish, and sounded like a loud 4 stroke dirt bike. Sold it off and pulled the trigger on the Akra. I ran these pipes on my track bikes over the years and nothing but goodness. With the baby Ninja with K&N filter and no fuel controller I noticed a nice power increase in the mid to upper RPM's. The pipe sounds great with or without the baffle. Sounds like a proper parallel twin race bike. There is some negatives about the weld on the baffle screw. No worries grab a appropriate size wrench and a little twist the weld breaks without effort and screw comes right out. Also there is chatter about the baffle being a pain to get out. Not true. Pair of pliers wrapped with a cloth towel and it came out with ease. Sound levels. Pipe sounds great through the rev range not overly loud like other pipes. Nor does it sound like as I stated before a loud 4 stroke dirt bike. If you want to upset your neighbors then this pipe is not for you. If your concerned about passing noise inspection at your next track day then this pipe is for you. Now I need to pull the trigger for the Arrow header and a fuel controller with a custom map. Great slip on exhaust! You CAN safely remove baffle. Great slip on exhaust! You CAN safely remove baffle. Go for a 30+ min ride to to warm the tac weld. Then take a 8mm wrench and apply a lil muscle. The bolt will come out. Use pliers wrapped with a cloth to remove the baffle and you're ready to ride! May 27, 2016
Makes the Bike Sound Mean! I bought this last year for my 2015 Ninja 300 SE This is by far the best exhaust out for the Ninja 300. It is incredibly sleek and sounds ferocious! I'm by no means a mechanic and the install was simple as 1,2,3. The DB killer(baffle) IS REMOVABLE, don't listen to that other guy. He obviously doesn't know what a tack weld is. You just have to get a wrench and apply some pressure and the nut will come off. Then the best way to remove the baffle is to get some vice grips and tighten them down on the baffle and pull it out. Overall this exhaust sounds so much louder than the stock and it looks much better. March 25, 2016
great exhaust, remarkable sound incredibly light compared to the stock exhaust of the ninja 300. Amazing looks and sound. Installing the spring was a bit tricky for me, but the worst pain was trying to remove the welded-in baffle bolt, which i did at the dealer since my bike was due for service anyways. Akrapovic explained that they're being increasingly forced to make the baffle less easy to remove, but according to them, so are the competition?! overall, i'm quite happy with this exhaust, the difference in sound is just remarkable! Get it with no hesitation! January 6, 2016
Baffle, or db killer, was not removable So I received the Akrapovic slip-on exhaust, examined the package and everything, and saw that the screw that held the baffle (or db killer) in the muffler had been welded. So you can't remove the baffle without grinding out the welded screw. Now, that might not matter to some people, but it was not for me. So I had to return it to Revzilla and exchanged it for the Yoshimaru. I just wish Revzilla had that information in the description before I ordered the Akrapovic. Bottom line, if you want an Akrapovic slip-on exhaust for your Ninja 300, be prepared to either grind out the baffle or permanently leave in your baffle. July 14, 2015
Excellence Was very easy to install, did it in around 25-30 mins. Instructions were easy to follow and very straight forward. I really wish this came in a full system model as well. Otherwise the bike sounds drastically better. with the baffle in, it has a very meaty sounds. without the baffle the thing sounds even deeper and darker. The price may be slightly pricy for some, but you are paying for the quality and brand! Still highly recommend! October 3, 2014
Best slip on exhaust for ninja 300 I found this exhaust on another site and got revzilla to match it so I saved $60. The entire process took about 1 hour to install getting the stock exhaust heat shield off was a little difficult. The actual exhaust took about 25 mins to install. I love the sound. It is a deeper sound and much louder than the stock but it doesn't sound like a rock in a tin can like some of the other slip ons. The db silencer was a little difficult to remove takes a lot of pull. After first run I had a little bit of white smoke and slight burning smell but revzilla and Akrapovic manual says this is normal. Overall a bit pricey but absolutely love it. August 13, 2014
