Akrapovic Racing Exhaust System Kawasaki Z1000 / Ninja 1000 2010-2013

Akrapovic's Racing System is designed for riders who demand maximum performance from their motorcycle. System is almost 10 kg lighter compared to the stock exhaust system and features exceptional production quality, hi-tech materials, and increased engine performance combined with pure racing sound output. The Racing System uses stainless steel header tubes and link pipe. We offer titanium or carbon-fiber mufflers. System is not EC Type approval and is designed for racing purpose.

Power & Torque: The power increase with the Akrapovic system is substantial, and can be seen from 5000 rpm right to the top of the range. At 10470 rpm Akrapovic measured 140.3 HP, with a max. power increase of 16.2 HP at 10400 rpm. The system’s effect on the torque and power curve is huge and strongest at midrange rpm. The main increase starts at around 2500 rpm and continues right into the over-rev range. All this will help you shave lap times and result in a much smoother ride.

If i buy a Full exhaust line and mufflers on my ninja 1000 2011, do I need to refuel the engine with a new mapping... power commander etc..??

Answer:

Akrapovic claims that unless specifically stated on their website for the exact model exhaust which you intend to purchase, no, you will not need an additional fuel management system.

Akrapovic has stated that a solid majority of their full exhaust systems are designed to be used with the OEM fuel curves as programmed on the bike from the factory.

That being said, could you still use an aftermarket fuel management system. Yes, undoubtedly.

If you want to maximize the TQ and HP power gains throughout your rpm range, while still maintaining a safe Air / Fuel ratio, then going with a fuel management system is great asset for fine tuning.

The ninja 1000 akrapovic full exhaust system , was the extra 16 hp figures with out any ad ons involved eg power comander and that sort of thing . Dose any one produce an after market air filter for a ninja 1000 2011 model .

Answer:

Akrapovic Exhaust performance figures are based on stock OEM fuel settings, no remapping needed. You can typically increase those numbers even more by having your OEM system re-flashed or by adding a Dynojet Power Commander. BMC does not currently offer an after market air filter for you Z1000.

Answer:

This model exhaust fits both the Z1000 and the Ninja 1000 from 2010 - 2012. On the Akrapovic website, the Ninja 1000 is classified as a Z1000SX (the European designation).
