Akrapovic Exhaust System BMW K1300 R/S

Akrapovic Racing and Evolution Systems are designed for racing-oriented riders who demand maximum performance. Both systems feature exceptional production quality, high-tech materials and increased engine performance. Their quality and reputation are further augmented by the use of the high-tech hydroforming production process to form the header tubes. Beside performance you will also benefit from great weight savings, up to 5.4 kg if compared to stock system. The change will be also visual as our hexagonal muffler perfectly fits the exterior line of the aggressive roadster and adds a clean racing image. We offer titanium or carbon-fiber muffler outer sleeves to satisfy each specific taste. Evolution system is made entirely of our exclusive high grade titanium while Racing system uses stainless steel header tubes and link pipe. Systems are not homologated and are developed only for race track use.

Power & Torque: The installation of the Evolution System results in a major boost in performance, delivering a massive 168.2 HP at 9900 rpm on back wheel. But the increased power isn’t available just at the top of the range; the system shows its quality already from 3500 rpm up through entire rpm range. Max. increased power between the Akrapovic and the stock system is 9.5 HP at 9900 rpm. Besides this, the torque is substantially higher in a lower rpm area already at 2500 rpm and from middle to high rpm area.

NOTE: Please check local laws before purchasing. Some modifications may be prohibited in some states.

Sounds like your tapping on Heavens doors I can't say enough, about the Akrapovic Exhaust System for the Yamaha FZ-09, words to explain how amazing this piece of equipment sounds and looks...My words won't do the proper justice..The install took about an hour and some change but nothing a beginner like me couldn't figure out. First ignition and I was happy and excited all over again about this purchase...Shipping was super fast and no hassles. Thanks Revzilla team and of course the Akrapovic brand! 100% pleased! Carbon Akrapovic Full System I've had the exhaust on for two weeks now and love it! The silencer that comes with this kit allows the best of both worlds. It sounds ever so slightly louder than stick with the silencer in, and sounds amazing with it out. The only piece that I think they should add to this kit is exhaust gaskets where the collector meets the block. Going from a dual exhaust to single on the Z1000 has also made cleaning the chain a million times easier. Overall I'm very happy with this exhaust. May 19, 2014
Good quality exhaust with great exhaust tone Purchased the shorty canister with header combo and I am more then pleased with the sound and performance with this exhaust system. Looks very stylish and slick. Will take a better portion of the day to install but it is all worth it once the key is turned. One of the louder pipes I have herd so far but with perfect sound. Quality is nothing less then the best from akrapovic. April 28, 2014
Amazing !!! I like the look, the performance, and the sound! I bought the full exhaust stainless steel model. It's a lot lighter than the stock header and exaust. The instalation was not hard. The hardest part was taking off the panels. I imstalled a power commander V and a K&N intake filter with the exaust. The installation took me about 4 hours with all the parts I listed above. The performance is night and day! I can feel the power all the way through the Low RPM range and definately through the high RPMs. I took the silencer incert out of the exhaust and it's loud, I love the PUR it makes, I am satisfied ! I recomend this product to anyone considering it. Its truley an Amazing, and high quality product ! April 14, 2014
Straight forward install, fantastic results While expensive, this system is certainly worth it. The piping and mufflers have fantastic high quality finishes, and everything fits together perfectly. The install took around 4 hours and is a bit tedious, but there is nothing particularly difficult about it as long as you take your time. It sounds incredibly mean, and seems to add a bit of pull as well. February 21, 2014
Amazing sound, felt improvement in the midrange, but LOUD! I've gotten tickets because of this thing twice here in NoVA, however for me there is no doubt in my mind I would make the purchase again. Infinitely better sounding than the anemic factory exhaust and cat, in addition to giving me 7 more hp on the dyno. Looks incredible, and while akra stuff is expensive I find it to be a better value than the AR or other stuff out there right now. February 17, 2014
First class all the way Wow, the quality of this system. Everything is done so well. The fit is great and installation was straight forward. Very happy with this. February 3, 2014

A shopper asked: I am relatively new to bikes and just bought my 2014 K1300S.. Wanted it to be special so ordered it with the HP cluster (which really killed me on $$$)..Now want to put on a cool looking exhaust..Really like the look of Akrapovic full system carbon but can't decide which one to get, racing or evolution.. Seems like they look the same.. Is there noticeable difference in how they sound? What are their differences? and can they be used without the MAP power commander? THANK YOU!!!! Oct 8, 2013

Richard C: The only real difference is that the evolution system is made of titanium and the racing is made of stainless steel. So while you wonwon't see any difference in power or sound the look of the metal differs as the exhaust is used more, the stainless will turn the typical yellowish hue and the titanium will get that galvanized blue look to it and you will save another pound or two in weight with the titanium. However the evolution system is another $900 or so dollars and then you still have to decide if you want the street legal which incorporated all the stock servos for emmisions controls and a catalytic converter quick will hurt the power gains but depending on where you live (California) may be a good option to keep cops from impounding your bike if you get pulled over. Any one of the systems can be used without the power commander especially since BMW came out with the new self adjusting ECU modules in 2010 so you shouldn't have any problems but the bike will backfire for up to a few days after install until the ECU adjusts to the changes. I changed from a two brothers slip on the a akrapovich full race and I love the quality the sound the ease of install and the look. Hope this helps Oct 8, 2013

Ziyad W: I have an S1000rr, don't know if this applies the same to the K1300s. The difference between the racing and evolution is that the racing has no catalytic converter. I bought the racing to get the most power. I have no idea about how both differ in terms of noise but the racing is not too loud for me. I rode the bike for a month with the exhaust and without a power commander and it was very sluggish and fuel economy was terrible. I installed the power commander V and downloaded the map from dynojet website. Since then the bike is very responsive, runs way better and fuel economy improved. Best results are with a dyno tune which I didn't do. I highly recommend to get a power commander with the exhaust. Oct 8, 2013

A S: There are some differences between the two systems besides just the material used for the pipes. The Race Line system is much cheaper but, according to Akrapovic, is louder. It also weighs 3.5 lbs. more, but is still about 3.7 lbs. less than the stock system. More importantly, from about 10,000 rpm's until redline it provides significantly more power and torque than the Evolution Line (which is why they call it "Race"). Both systems use the same installation manual, but I believe the mufflers have a slightly different shape, the Race model being more oval. Jan 30, 2014

Alexander M: I got the racing, dont bother with the evolution, only difference is weight saving. Your definately going to need a power commander if you buy a full slip on. Oct 9, 2013

Anthony d: The evolution system is made of titanium instead of steel. That makes it significantly lighter, and more expensive. Oct 8, 2013
