Ryoji I: I didn't want to spend a lot for a rain suit because I don't plan on riding in when its wet. I needed something just in case it rained enexpectedly. So this AVG Sport Thunder Rain Suit fits the budget perfectly.May 3, 2015
gary j: I returned this because it did not compact small enough; the product was terrific but I have small storage bags on my bike.Apr 11, 2015
Shaun B: Great price; was looking for a hi-viz rainsuit to wear over my Alpinestars Capetown jacket and Icon Compound pants. I wanted something that I could slip on over my gear quickly and that had pants with stirrups. Taking a chance with these as there were no reviews.Mar 29, 2014
A shopper asked:what about rain seepage in the crotch area.. seems a lot of suits have that issue and people complain about it? It's not fun!May 9, 2014
Shaun B:I haven't tested this yet but the seams on this suit seem very tight all over. I've had a few rain suits over the years and this one appears to be better than any I've had. For the price, I think it's hard to beat. Also the Hi-viz is VERY H-viz which is what you want when you're caught riding in the rain.May 9, 2014
Shaun B:If the backpack were quite slim it would fit - I wear this suit over my Alpinestars Capetown jacket and there is a bit of room in the back; I haven't tried my backpack however it is large and would not fit underneath the rain jacket. My jacket is XL as is the rain suit.Nov 16, 2014
Eric H:only if you up-size, but then it will likely be baggy and get beat to shreds flapping in the wind. I had this problem just oversizing by one size to fit over riding gear. I think you'd be better off putting your things in a dry-bag and shoving in your backpack.Nov 16, 2014
Erin K:Well, it comes with a little bag to store it in, seems like it compresses to a relatively small size. It will fit under a spider net on a tail of my sport bike... But it's still rather heavy, we're planning on each taking one to Ireland in a week and I'm pretty sure it adds at least two pounds, comparable to a 1" binder filled with paper. Rather weighty, but compact. Hope that helpsApr 3, 2015
Zack M asked:I am 6'2 and weigh 220. I wear an XL shirt and 34 inch pants. Should I go with an XL? Also, I see some saying the high viz option is great others say its hideous. I figure it wouldnt be bad to have for the rain so that I am more visible.May 20, 2015
Darrin B:I bought the hi viz option. Who cares what things look like when you ride a motorcycle, no one sees us so any advantage helps out. I didn't think it was hideous. I also ride with a high viz helmet.
Also I am very similar to your measurements and I ordered the XL and it worked fine for me. Hope this helps.May 21, 2015
Muhd Zaki Azre R:XL is a good choice since you normally wearing an XL shirt as it will fit perfectly. However I suggest you to go one size up if you are planning to carry a backpack so you can wear it over your backpack. I really like the high viz colour as it really help others to see you in the rain. I hope this is helpful. May 25, 2015
Eduard R:I am 6"6 and 220lb and fits fine slightly baggy but I think it's better that way when it's damp. Visibility-wise...it has the reflective parts but you can't compare that to yellow neon ones. I ride 99% in the city so visibility was less of an issue for me. Hope this helps. EMay 21, 2015
Todd W:I would get the size medium. I'm 6' 4" -225lbs. and was reading reviews about the fit of this rain suit and a couple of the bigger people that wrote reviews said the fit of the XL was good. I found the suit to run a bit small and the pants to be too short while riding (they ride up my leg). Go with the medium.Mar 17, 2015
RICKY K:Yes, this rain suit jacket fit over my Cortech textile jack with both the shoulder armor and elbow armor and both jacket liners. The pants also fit over my Tour Master riding pants with knee armor, hip pads and with the internal liner.
The pant fit over my Dainese TRQ-Tour Gore-Tex boots as well.
However, if you have short boots (just above the ankle) the pants may not be long enough to go over the short boot. But if you have full height boots (like the ones I have), the length will be fine, (at least for me, the length was good).Dec 17, 2014
Erin K:I bought this for my bf for christmas, and although he has not tried it on yet, I did try it on as I ride too. Under my leather jacket and jeans, the rain suit fits well, although very baggy in the legs for me (I got a large for him) and I know he's built a bit bigger than me... Only thing I found slightly restricting was the neck area but in a rain storm I'd rather have that snug then loose. If it works for him, I plan to buy myself one in a size down.Dec 16, 2014
Alejandro h:Yes an armored jacket will fit underneath. I currently wear a medium alpine star jacket and a medium tour master armored over pants underneath a size medium. I also wear over my alpine star jacket but underneath the rain jacket. its a little tight but fitsDec 16, 2014
W A:I wear a Dainese jacket with the titanium shoulder cups etc... I would say it will fit over armored gear. This rain suit worked excellent in a 70 mile ride with rain the entire distance.Dec 17, 2014
A shopper asked:I have a Lick's solo bag on my Sportster, so I'm hopeful that this suit compresses small enough to fit the bag. Has anyone packed this suit in a Lick's bag? If you own the suit would you mind packing it down as small as possible and taking some measurements? I am able to easily fit my lightweight camping rain jacket and pants, but I imagine the AGV is a bit bulkier. Thanks for the help.Jun 28, 2015
