Waterproof, heavy duty, low cost
I was looking for a waterproof 2 piece rain suite and landed on this unit because of the hi-viz option, low cost, and generally positive reviews. Overall, I like the design and recognize it is good quality and will certainly keep me dry, however I have two relatively minor issues: 1) the wrists have elastic bands instead of an adjustable Velcro wrap, and the elastic bands are not snug so I anticipate water can run up the sleeve unless I get creative to find a way to tighten that area and seal out water or place the elastics over the gauntlet portion of my riding gloves which is probably the intended design strategy and 2) the suite itself is heavier duty than I anticipated and consumes more pack space than I expected or wanted; it will fit into my Nelson RIgg 1060 Sport Tail bag but consumes the majority of space when the tail bag is not expanded. Because the rain suite is used so infrequently I'll most likely place it under my tail bag.

The fit is true to size. I wear a small 4 season Revit jacket - pant set and the small rain suite fit over the riding gear perfectly.

The hi-viz color is excellent and I recommend this option.

Bone Dry. This is what you need.
I ordered this rain suit in black because the high-viz yellow looks terrible in the pictures... I need rain gear because I commute 30 miles to work every day on two wheels (three wheels when I know it's going to rain). I have been caught in a couple of heavy downpours and unexpected showers with my textile "winter" jacket and it unfortunately lets some water in. I don't have any waterproof pants either. The day after the suit arrived at my door I got a chance to try it out in a 37 degree, rainy ride to work and after 30 minutes of highway and some surface streets, I arrived bone dry. As for the cold, I was layered up but this rain gear seemed to do a great job of breaking the wind and keeping most of the cold off. Don't waste your money on anything more expensive than this. This does the trick and even comes with a handy tote bag that can fit in almost any saddlebags or tail bag that you have.

Overall a good product
One of the reasons I purchased this product was to use it for a windbreaker in cold weather. This means that I will be wearing a jacket for warmth under the rain gear. It worked great for that and allows me to ride comfortably down to 15-20F. The only downside is that the collar is not designed to accomodate the collar of a jacket underneath and the result is that I cannot fully secure the collar of the rain gear when I am wearing the jacket but I did not find that is was an issue as far as wind breaking.

AWESOME SUIT
This fit perfect. I'm 6 foot tall and 135 LBS.
I ordered the large and it fit over my Rev'it jacket.
I haven't got to use it on my bike yet, haven't rained since I bought this. so I did the next best thing. I had my son shoot me with the garden hose, while sitting on my GSXR 600.
I love it.

Can't beat the price!
I got rid of my cage so I'm riding this winter. This rain suit is perfect and well worth the money. I went traffic cone yellow so I'm visible. I accidently ripped out the stitches on one of the leg openings but the velcro still keeps it closed. Really blocks the wind so this is perfect for winter.

Bone dry
I can say I tested these to the extreme. In an electrical storm. Torrential rain. Had to pull over because I couldn't see anymore. Rode hour and a half in a downpour. The only wet I got was around the sleeve area because my gloves didn't cover the cuff. and around the collar. The fuzz on the collar got soaked, so my neck got a little wet, but it didn't drip into my jacket front. If I had a medium jacket, it probably would have sealed up under the helmet better. I got a large to go over the top of my riding gear, and it fits well (i'm 6 foot, 150 lbs), but is baggy. The length is right though. I got loads more water in through the helmet than the suit, and when I peeled it off, my riding gear wasn't even damp. Bonus, the yellow color can be seen from space, so you cut through the mist like a beacon.
Air flow score: it's rubbery inside - not meant to breathe.
Comfort score: again, doesn't breath, but it's not really supposed to

Cheap & It Works
It's a cheap option for rain gear that works. Period. Just be mindful for those of you with longer limbs this probably won't be a great option. They've kept me dry on my 40 minute commute through some heavier rains but they're a tad short in the leg and arms for me (still better than nothing though). Purchased size L and it fits over my size L Cortech mesh jacket with liners & riding jeans w/ armor.

On a functional note, you can put the pants on over your boots (no need to take them off). No air flow...but that's kind of the point.

Worth the $
For the price, one of the best suits. Only needed it once so far, kept me dry and warm. One design flaw... the velcro used to tighten up the lower portion of the pant leg faces forward. Although pleated so no rain can get by, does slightly catch in the wind. Over time once the velcro starts to wear out, this could be an issue. Not a deal breaker though

Pleasantly surprised with the quality of this suit...
I have had SIDI rain suits previously ... which were remarkably thin and average at keeping you dry... when I ordered this suit .... and for the price I paid ... I was expecting a slightly better than average product. However... I was immediately surprised at how substantial it felt, the quality and fit of the suit. I am 5'9 and 250 lbs ... I bought the xxl and can confirm it fits very well over my leathers wit out feeling bulky... I have not had to use the suit in full rain yet.... but I am confident it will keep me dry. My only complaint...albeit a small one is that the cuffs are elasticated and feel slightly uncomfortable after a while... would have preferred velcro cuffs with a soft edge.... but again at this price... still a good product.

I need something to commute to work daily a short distance and as you know you can't count on the weather so this rain suit looks like good value after reading the reviews, and looks like just what I need.

Reviews and it's priced well. Tried on the Revitt but it fit weird, legs we're really long. I'm 5'7'' 160 and couldn't find a sixethat fit.

I didn't want to spend a lot for a rain suit because I don't plan on riding in when its wet. I needed something just in case it rained enexpectedly. So this AVG Sport Thunder Rain Suit fits the budget perfectly.

Want to ride more regardless of rain. The two-piece is great, allows versatility. The colour is hi-viz for safety. Price is good too.

You have to stay dry, the quality is good, and the hi-vis is just great. I will buy most my gear in a high vis option.

Will armored jacket and pants fit underneath?
Joey R on Dec 16, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this rain suit jacket fit over my Cortech textile jack with both the shoulder armor and elbow armor and both jacket liners. The pants also fit over my Tour Master riding pants with knee armor, hip pads and with the internal liner.

The pant fit over my Dainese TRQ-Tour Gore-Tex boots as well.

However, if you have short boots (just above the ankle) the pants may not be long enough to go over the short boot. But if you have full height boots (like the ones I have), the length will be fine, (at least for me, the length was good).
what about rain seepage in the crotch area.. seems a lot of suits have that issue and people complain about it? It's not fun!
A shopper on May 9, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Absolutely no rain seepage for me in its first steady rain. Well worth the price. I have purchased cheaper that did not work.
Is it possible to wear a small motorcycle backpack underneath? The Icon Squad 3, in particular.
Michael C on Nov 16, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I would say it will be uncomfortable as is like a wind breaker and the martial is not flexible. Try a bigger size but you will run a chance of rain getting in :-)
What color is the high-viz, really? The color selector says yellow, but the photo looks like pea-soup green.
A shopper on Jul 19, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It is a very bright yellow with a touch of green. Extremely visible and not even remotely subtle.
Is this rain suit "compressible", or easily stashed away not taking much space when storing?
A shopper on Apr 3, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Well, it comes with a little bag to store it in, seems like it compresses to a relatively small size. It will fit under a spider net on a tail of my sport bike... But it's still rather heavy, we're planning on each taking one to Ireland in a week and I'm pretty sure it adds at least two pounds, comparable to a 1" binder filled with paper. Rather weighty, but compact. Hope that helps
I am 6'2 and weigh 220. I wear an XL shirt and 34 inch pants. Should I go with an XL? Also, I see some saying the high viz option is great others say its hideous. I figure it wouldnt be bad to have for the rain so that I am more visible.
Zack M on May 20, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I bought the hi viz option. Who cares what things look like when you ride a motorcycle, no one sees us so any advantage helps out. I didn't think it was hideous. I also ride with a high viz helmet.

Also I am very similar to your measurements and I ordered the XL and it worked fine for me. Hope this helps.
I'm wearing RST Ventilator Series 4, size S. Do i get SM or MD?
A shopper on Mar 17, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I would get the size medium. I'm 6' 4" -225lbs. and was reading reviews about the fit of this rain suit and a couple of the bigger people that wrote reviews said the fit of the XL was good. I found the suit to run a bit small and the pants to be too short while riding (they ride up my leg). Go with the medium.
will the pants and jacket fit over armored gear?
A shopper on Dec 16, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I wear a Dainese jacket with the titanium shoulder cups etc... I would say it will fit over armored gear. This rain suit worked excellent in a 70 mile ride with rain the entire distance.
Does it go over boots? And should it?
Michael C on Nov 16, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes it goes over water proof boots so as not to drip water into the top of your boots. Has plenty of velcro for proper adjustment to fit you. Great product.
Does it have a hood?
Michael C on Nov 18, 2014
BEST ANSWER: It doesn't have a hood, but it does fasten snug around the neck, I have had no issues with water getting in, and I have been riding in some hard rain.
