Great price, looks awsome, comfortable.
This jacket is very stylish and simple. The logo placement is very low-key, which is cool because I dislike flashy logos (Love AVG, but I don't want to look like I'm part of an advertisement campain).

I'm 6'1 and around 160lbs with semi-wide sholders(my dress shirt shirt size is 16-1/2 34/35 super slim fit, in-case that helps anybody). Anyway I hesitantly got a large, and the jacket fits great, which was something I was worried about because I'm preaty slim. The large is just right, not loose but not too snug. I wear a thin work-out hoody underneath to fill in any slack, add some additional style, and so I don't get sticky from the liner without having to remove it. Over-all great fit.

Side note: I got the black color, and in the picture the viz strips on the shoulders and arms looks dark blue-ish, but in actuality it looks black not blue at all which is a plus in my opinion.

Hope this review helped someone because for me the video didn't help much (that guy is pretty short).

My favorite summer jacket
I live in Southern California and this was my favorite jacket for riding in the heat all this summer without the liner. It breathes really well, much better than my Alpinestars T-GP + Air. I'm 5'-10" and weigh 195. I wear a 44 regular sport coat and the Solare in XL fits me perfectly. (I also wear a size US 44, EU 54 AGV Sport Dragon, if that helps anyone for sizing. The Dragon is actually my favorite riding jacket but it's too bloody hot to wear in the summer where I live.) I upgraded the backpad to a Forcefield 001 Backpad Insert Pro $79 which offers CE-2 protection. It made the jacket a bit more snug but it's still very comfortable. I was surprised how well the air still moved through the jacket even with the upgraded backpad. I'm comfortable riding in this jacket between 70-90 degrees without the liner. In terms of durability, it is mostly mesh so I don't know how it would hold up in a crash, but hey it's gotta be better than squiding in a t-shirt and it has held up very well for me so far with regular use. No problems at all with the zippers, and the cuffs on the sleeves fit comfortably under my gloves.

In terms of riding style, I ride a 2015 Ninja 1000 ABS. I'm not a hero kneedragger by any means but do hang off and mostly ride in the canyons for fun a couple times a week. Ride safe

Great value. I bought it based upon a good review in Motorcycle Cruiser.
I'm 5'11" and weigh 196 lbs and the extra large fits perfectly. It has a somewhat tapered fit at the waist, so if you are portly, its going to feel tight across your stomach. Great air flow.

If you are a line backer even the 3xl will be too small. If I loose 20 lbs I can probably get it zipped over my chest. I'm 6' 1"@? 270 and if you are this size look for a 4X jacket.

I need to loose some weight so I'm keeping it because it's a nice jacket.

Great value for money but check your size very carefully
I am 40 chest, so ordered the Med which according to the fit chart is good for 44-45. It is way too tight for me and the sleeves are shorter than I would have expected. I will need at least a Large, especially if I wear my Gore Windstopper jacket underneath on cooler days.

I'll send a full report once I have the correct size, this seems to be a good jacket for a great price.

The Solare Mesh pant did fit according to the sizing chart.

Good value
This is my first jacket to go along with my first bike. I like the fit (had to buy 1 size up). I mostly bought it for the reviews of the air flow as I wanted to wear on the way to work but didn't want to show up sweaty. It has to be quite warm to wear this jacket without the liner other wise there is so much airflow it can get a little cool. Overall good jacket.

So far so good
The Sport Solare was a little snug for me in Large when new but at 5'10" and 200 lbs I'm always right on the fence between L and XL. It seems to be breaking in nicely and I'm getting a better fit as It breaks in. I wanted a snug fit to keep the pads in place during a spill. I like the workmanship and features and the jacket is excellent in the wind at elevated speeds, really comfortable with no flapping at all. It seems to very good at directing the wind around me. Ventilation is really good at slow speeds and I don't think I will have any issues with it when it the weather turns hotter. I got caught in the rain the other day and it also did a decent job of keeping my t-shirt dry with just a little wetting around the upper chest area.
Overall I'm very pleased with it and I do think it is a great piece of equipment for the price.

Nice summer mesh jacket
Fit was great - 5'9 155lbs 39" chest - size small fit me really well.

The main feature I found in this jacket was it does flow a lot of air. Definitely a good summer jacket. First day with this jacket, I was sitting in my driveway with it on in 90 degree heat (60% humidity), and was sweating. As soon as I got moving at ~15mph, I was cool and comfortable as if it was a 70 degree day. I almost felt like I didn't have a jacket on given the amount of air flow at road speed.

Construction of it definitely leaves something to be desired, but given the price range its expected. I actually tugged a bit too hard on the rain liner snap, and ripped out the elastic loop on the inside of the sleeve as an example. Stitching seems good around the jacket -- but was missing a chunk of the "D" in ADV on the embroidering on the neck line.

Protection wise the armor in the elbows and shoulders fit well and sit where they should when riding. Textile down the shoulders to the wrists seems adequate (thankfully have not tested).

A great stepping stone for a noob.
I bought this as my first jacket. I wanted to ride in the Summer with a decent amount of armor, but not sweat. This jacket fit the bill perfectly. I didn't have to spend much, in case I decided to drop the hobby, but I also had some protection if I dropped whilst practicing said hobby.

Great airflow, great visibility, great protection (for $100).

Not the highest quality jacket, but one season of riding left it looking pretty good still. A few nicks here and there, and some dead bugs that wont wash out. All in all a great jacket for the price, fit is good.

Now that I am planning on continuing to ride, I bought a $600 Dianese jacket. This one was a great stepping stone to precede that purchase.

I am interested in the agv sport solare jacket. The problem is to choose the correct size in relation to the men's textile size agv chart.
I measure 41inch chest and 30 inch sleeve which not correspond to any size available.
What can I do ? Can you help me ?

Gracias. (is there anybody who speaks spanish?)
A shopper on Apr 30, 2011
BEST ANSWER: That sounds like a tough measurement to fit. If you could provide your height and weight, that will contribute towards a size recommendation. We don't have a fluent Spanish speaker on staff, but if you write us an e-mail, we can usually figure it out! RevZilla Motorsports - cs@revzilla.com
Hello, I am 6' even and weigh 155 with a 42" chest measurement. I was curious to know what size to get? I have really long arms and also skinny. So some advice would be greatly appreciated!
A shopper on Apr 26, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I'm 6' 1" and have long arms for my height as well, but I'm a bit heavier than you. I have a 2XL in the Solare and a 2XL in a Tempest (discontinued by AGV Sport unfortunately). They both fit like any jacket you'd get from a good clothing store of the same size.

You could go with whatever you normally would buy in a clothing store.

More specifically:
It sound like the XL would be good for your arms. But it also sounds like the Large would fit you better through the body and you could compensate if the arms are a little short with gloves that have longer cuffs.
I really like this jacket for its combination of style, protection and breath-ability, but I really wanted to get a jacket with a breathable waterproof liner. In the description it says it comes with a breathable waterproof liner, but I cannot find any information on it. I went to the AGV site and it did not mention this. Is this a misprint?
Dustin Z on Apr 24, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Dustin,
Needing a mesh jacket for really hot SC summer riding, I ordered this one about two years ago. It was out of stock, so I ordered another, much more costly jacket. Not enough air flow, so I reordered the AGV. Lots of air flow. Have never used the waterproof liner, but it's polyurethane and feels rubbery. Not likely going to breath. No vents. Have many jackets, at this point, and still come back to this one for hot rides.

You might consider a two-piece rain suit for actually riding in the rain. It will go over whatever protective gear you are wearing. I've stayed dry in downpours so bad that cars stopped under bridges. Those suits are generally inexpensive and will roll up into a small package to carry along.

RC
Is the zipper pull on the left side? (I have heard it is) if so, is there a particular reason for that?
A shopper on Sep 27, 2014
BEST ANSWER: It is in fact on the left side. I don't know why, perhaps it's a European design characteristic? The zipper can be a little difficult to get lined up, it has a tendency to 'unzip' while you're zipping it up.

Other than that, it really is a great jacket. I live in southwest Florida and ride in some extremely hot & humid weather, staying cool has never been an issue (as long as you're moving).

I would definitely recommend this jacket. I bought the Hi-Viz yellow, some fading after a year or so of extreme sun, but still quite bright!
I am just wondering how boxy this jacket is to get an idea of the fit.
A shopper on Jul 10, 2012
BEST ANSWER: I'd say the mid-section is a bit bigger than the chest; I'm a pretty slender dude so I picked up a small, but it still feels kind of boxy around the core. Take a closer look at the guy modeling the jacket - it makes him look kinda chunky around the mid-section, but compare the cut to other jackets he's modeled in and you'll see that this one is just a bit oddly cut, or maybe made with "bigger-boned" folks in mind.
i'm a new rider and I am a slim guy with short arms. Measuring at 5'6 150 Pounds all the jackets seam to be either to long in arm length or to big around the waist. What do you recommend I do ? Arm length is 28 inch waist is 35
Bobby T on Mar 16, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I am 5'9 and around 180. Bought a Large but it is on the small side of Large. I use it as my summer jacket as I can only fit a t-shirt under it.
I would think Medium would be your right size.
Im 5-9 190 muscular build. Would you recommend lg or xL?
Mike R on Jun 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I'm 5-9 195 and got an 2xl which fits me well. I think a large will be too small for you. I recommend the xl or even a 2xl if you like to wear a hood at times
Is there really a big difference in air flow between this and a textile jacket with mesh panels?
Derek K on Jun 23, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, with this jacket is much higher the flow of air.
How may i order this jacket with 8mm CE armor? or do i need to order them individually?
