First Impression I was a bit dissapointed with the quality of the jacket. Some materials feel ok, but others seem to be fair. I consider it was a good purchase just because it was not expensive and I would just use it for rides with no light where I need to wear Hi-Viz. I have use it only a few days but I definitely notice it has superb air flow. February 17, 2015
Great price, looks awsome, comfortable. This jacket is very stylish and simple. The logo placement is very low-key, which is cool because I dislike flashy logos (Love AVG, but I don't want to look like I'm part of an advertisement campain). I'm 6'1 and around 160lbs with semi-wide sholders(my dress shirt shirt size is 16-1/2 34/35 super slim fit, in-case that helps anybody). Anyway I hesitantly got a large, and the jacket fits great, which was something I was worried about because I'm preaty slim. The large is just right, not loose but not too snug. I wear a thin work-out hoody underneath to fill in any slack, add some additional style, and so I don't get sticky from the liner without having to remove it. Over-all great fit. Side note: I got the black color, and in the picture the viz strips on the shoulders and arms looks dark blue-ish, but in actuality it looks black not blue at all which is a plus in my opinion. Hope this review helped someone because for me the video didn't help much (that guy is pretty short). December 25, 2014
Great First Jacket First off, as always Revzilla shipped quickly and it arrived in great condition. As for the jacket, I got the high visibility jacket and it looks great! For sizing, AGV can be a little confusing so I went with a medium. I am 5' 8", 180lbs, 39.5" chest and 33.5" waist. Overall it is a bit snug but not uncomfortably so. If you have big hands or wrists, the cuffs might be too tight, but the zipper and buttons adjust nicely. I don't have any room to wear a sweater or jacket underneath but that won't be a problem since I do not plan on wearing this in the cold. The jacket might be shorter than what you are expecting as it ends right at the waist line. I plan on replacing the spine protector since all there is in the back is a 1/4" foam pad. However, the protection on the shoulders and elbows is really good. Overall I am pleased with this jacket, especially since its under $100. December 9, 2014
A great stepping stone for a noob. I bought this as my first jacket. I wanted to ride in the Summer with a decent amount of armor, but not sweat. This jacket fit the bill perfectly. I didn't have to spend much, in case I decided to drop the hobby, but I also had some protection if I dropped whilst practicing said hobby. Great airflow, great visibility, great protection (for $100). Not the highest quality jacket, but one season of riding left it looking pretty good still. A few nicks here and there, and some dead bugs that wont wash out. All in all a great jacket for the price, fit is good. Now that I am planning on continuing to ride, I bought a $600 Dianese jacket. This one was a great stepping stone to precede that purchase. November 18, 2014
Great value The jacket is protective but lets air flow freely. It is great to have protection, hi-viz, ans also feel cool on those hot days. September 16, 2014
Good for the price This is my first motorcycle jacket, but so far I like it. It gets good airflow, yet if you put the wind/waterproof liner in it with a thin jacket it works for cooler weather as well. Overall for the price I would buy it again September 15, 2014
Great Summer Jacket This jacket offers decent protection with great air flow during the summer. Have not used the rain liner to see how it would restrict air flow for cooler weather. Jacket looks great and offers protection in the right areas. Looking to replace the foam back protector in the jacket for added protection. The zipper they stated that could connect to the matching pants was not on the jacket. I would have purchased the pants if this option was available as stated in the product info. Have not had to test out the jacket. Knock on wood... August 18, 2014
Awesome Summer jacket for cheap I was in the market for a new jacket and I came across this one. I figured for $100 it was worth giving it a shot. I chose the blue and I love the color and how breathable the material is. So far the only complaints that I have are that the rubber things to help pull the zippers came off almost immediately (that being said I just bought some camping ones to replace them and it is back to normal) the only real complaint I have is that the wrists are a bit small, the jacket fits me perfectly, I got a small and I am 5'7" and 130 lbs, except the wrists are super tight, which is good if you don't wear gloves or is your gloves go over the jacket, but I tend to like mine tucked inside the jacket. Overall I would give this jacket a solid 8.5/10, it is a great summer jacket that breathes like crazy, but still has the padding and protection you want. July 18, 2014

Steven K: I wanted a comfortable, vented jacket for hot day riding. I removed the waterproof lining and it works great. I will put the liner back in for the fall and cooler weather. I also like that the jacket holds a Forcefield 001 replacement back armor pad. I bought two of these jackets so one can air out while I ride the other. Jun 20, 2014

Dustin Z asked: I really like this jacket for its combination of style, protection and breath-ability, but I really wanted to get a jacket with a breathable waterproof liner. In the description it says it comes with a breathable waterproof liner, but I cannot find any information on it. I went to the AGV site and it did not mention this. Is this a misprint? Apr 24, 2014

Jennifer S: It is a mess liner. It just keeps it from sticking o thewearer if they swat. Your description makes it sound like a true liner; its not. Apr 25, 2014

Rex C: Dustin,
Needing a mesh jacket for really hot SC summer riding, I ordered this one about two years ago. It was out of stock, so I ordered another, much more costly jacket. Not enough air flow, so I reordered the AGV. Lots of air flow. Have never used the waterproof liner, but it's polyurethane and feels rubbery. Not likely going to breath. No vents. Have many jackets, at this point, and still come back to this one for hot rides.

You might consider a two-piece rain suit for actually riding in the rain. It will go over whatever protective gear you are wearing. I've stayed dry in downpours so bad that cars stopped under bridges. Those suits are generally inexpensive and will roll up into a small package to carry along.

Christopher C: There is a very-thin water proof liner that zips into the interior of the jacket. It appears to be water proof (with reinforced waterproofing at each liner seam/stitching), but I have not ridden this jacket in a downpour so I cannot attest to it's usefulness in the wild. Also, due to the level of waterproofing I can see, I have doubts as to it's breatheability--but in summer months, I just leave the waterproof liner out of the jacket=maximum breatheability. Anthony K: I live in Tucson, AZ and it gets pretty hot here. I ride almost everyday and this is the only jacket I wear, it breaths well but I still sweat on really hot days. I don't ride in the rain so I have no answer if it will protect during rainy rides. I hope this will help. Apr 25, 2014

Eric V: This has been a great jacket and represents great value, given the price point. However, I would not call the liner breathable. It is removable when the weather gets warmer. May 4, 2014

A shopper asked: Is the zipper pull on the left side? (I have heard it is) if so, is there a particular reason for that? Sep 27, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Shawn B: It is in fact on the left side. I don't know why, perhaps it's a European design characteristic? The zipper can be a little difficult to get lined up, it has a tendency to 'unzip' while you're zipping it up.

Other than that, it really is a great jacket. I live in southwest Florida and ride in some extremely hot & humid weather, staying cool has never been an issue (as long as you're moving).

I would definitely recommend this jacket. I bought the Hi-Viz yellow, some fading after a year or so of extreme sun, but still quite bright!

A shopper asked: I am just wondering how boxy this jacket is to get an idea of the fit. Jul 10, 2012

Winterveil: I'd say the mid-section is a bit bigger than the chest; I'm a pretty slender dude so I picked up a small, but it still feels kind of boxy around the core. Take a closer look at the guy modeling the jacket - it makes him look kinda chunky around the mid-section, but compare the cut to other jackets he's modeled in and you'll see that this one is just a bit oddly cut, or maybe made with "bigger-boned" folks in mind. Jonathan F: it's about the same size, somewhat smaller. i have a narrow waist and wide shoulders, and it fits well when the cinch straps are tightened down. also, when they are tightened it doesn't bunch up like 20 year old pleated khakis. Aug 25, 2012

A shopper asked: I am interested in the agv sport solare jacket. The problem is to choose the correct size in relation to the men's textile size agv chart.
I measure 41inch chest and 30 inch sleeve which not correspond to any size available.
What can I do ? Can you help me ?

Gracias. (is there anybody who speaks spanish?)

Chris K: That sounds like a tough measurement to fit. If you could provide your height and weight, that will contribute towards a size recommendation. We don't have a fluent Spanish speaker on staff, but if you write us an e-mail, we can usually figure it out! RevZilla Motorsports - cs@revzilla.com May 3, 2011

Dougbr2: I'm 5'11" with a 43" chest and weigh 195 with a 33" sleeve. I bought the extra large and it fits snugly, so you could probably get by with a medium. If it is too tight, Revzilla will take back the one and send you a large. Don't cut off the tags before trying it on! Aug 22, 2011

Allen: Hi,
the AGV site has size recommendations. I am a 40" chest so went by their recommendation and ordered a medium. It is way small in the chest and arm length, so I replaced it with a large. Fits more the way I would expect.

A shopper asked: Hello, I am 6' even and weigh 155 with a 42" chest measurement. I was curious to know what size to get? I have really long arms and also skinny. So some advice would be greatly appreciated! Apr 26, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Larry K: I'm 6' 1" and have long arms for my height as well, but I'm a bit heavier than you. I have a 2XL in the Solare and a 2XL in a Tempest (discontinued by AGV Sport unfortunately). They both fit like any jacket you'd get from a good clothing store of the same size.

You could go with whatever you normally would buy in a clothing store.

More specifically:
It sound like the XL would be good for your arms. But it also sounds like the Large would fit you better through the body and you could compensate if the arms are a little short with gloves that have longer cuffs.
