AGV Sport Solare Jacket
One of the best deals for a quality jacket
Like many riders, my miles are mostly in the warmer temps. As such, having a mesh jacket that fits well, is flexible, and has the safety armor is important to me.
I've tried many different mesh designs and have ridden extensively in several. I think they nailed the product with this one.
First, the jacket does not leave you sweating to death. I have the high-vis color, so it does not absorb the heat of the sun. The slightest breeze flows and if you have a wicking shirt on under does a good job of getting sweat off you. While riding, it is comfortable.
The fit is slightly small. At first I was unsure if I wanted the snug fit, but it has grown on me. For one thing, the armor is going to stay put. I had a minor crash where the front wheel washed out on a patch of oil near a stop line. I was hardly moving and then suddenly the scoot skipped out under me and dumped me on the road. The only injury I had was a tiny abrasion where the elbow armor shifted and the fabric of the jacket took off skin. Since then, I've been a strong supporter of having my protective gear snug.
The arms have a single strap to tighten the elbow armor, but it cinches in two places holding the armor very well. I also like the thick and molded padding that conforms to my arm. While it does move a little, it does not move enough to worry about an impact shifting it away from protecting me.
Shoulder and back armor are larger and thicker than some of the higher end jackets I've looked at and one that I used to wear.
More vulnerable points like outer arm, are clad in ballistic cloth for protection. The zippers on the cuffs snug down over my gloves nicely.
Makes for a longer gear-up as I cinch and zip, but I feel as though the jacket is fitted to me and not going to move.
Don't use the pockets, but they are there. The neck line does not come high enough to bother my helmet or chinstrap. It is loose enough for my 18" neck. I can fit a cooling wrap around my neck too.
In cool weather like those summer nights when it drops into the 50's or even upper 40's, I can fit a North Face Flight Series fleece under the jacket. This thin windproof jacket is just the thing to hold back the chill.
In rain, I can easily fit an XL Helly Hanson rain shell over the mesh jacket. Not only does this keep the armor closer to me, but the shell keeps road grime off the much harder to clean mesh. I much prefer this over using the supplied liner. In fact, I have never used the liner.
When cinched up, the jacket does restrict movement. At first I was very hesitant about this. However, I've now put in several months of use and none of that matters while riding. For the motions I need to make while on the scoot, there is no binding or restriction.
Overall, for the $$, it would be hard to beat this jacket.

Very Good Jacket, Great Price
I like AGV Sport products. This Solaire jacket is my 5th AGV Sport product. I am always happy with the fit and I have never had a failure. The Solaire jacket fits exactly like my Tempest jacket (AGV Sport cool weather jacket). The zippers have pulls that you can grab without taking your gloves off constantly. The airflow is excellent. It looks good. I am 6'1" and 215. I normally wear 36 waist pants and 48 jacket. The XXL fits just right after using the waist gathering tabs. I can move, but it isn't baggy at all.
I suppose there are better jackets out there, but you're going to pay half again to twice as much to get something as good or a little better.

If you are a line backer even the 3xl will be too small. If I loose 20 lbs I can probably get it zipped over my chest. I'm 6' 1"@ 270 and if you are this size look for a 4X jacket.
I need to loose some weight so I'm keeping it because it's a nice jacket.

So my first impression was wow this mesh jacket is much heavier than I anticipated but the quality felt really good. The CE rated armor in the shoulders is more dense than other CE armor in other mesh jackets. The fit was really good for my size. I typically can wear a 42-43 jacket and customer service recommended I get the XL and the fit was what I wanted. I didn't want the jacket to be too snug because I ride a cruiser and most of my riding ends up being the commute to work.
I was not impressed with the media pocket inside the jacket because it is narrow and sometimes hard to get the iPod out.

Nice summer mesh jacket
Fit was great - 5'9 155lbs 39" chest - size small fit me really well.
The main feature I found in this jacket was it does flow a lot of air. Definitely a good summer jacket. First day with this jacket, I was sitting in my driveway with it on in 90 degree heat (60% humidity), and was sweating. As soon as I got moving at ~15mph, I was cool and comfortable as if it was a 70 degree day. I almost felt like I didn't have a jacket on given the amount of air flow at road speed.
Construction of it definitely leaves something to be desired, but given the price range its expected. I actually tugged a bit too hard on the rain liner snap, and ripped out the elastic loop on the inside of the sleeve as an example. Stitching seems good around the jacket -- but was missing a chunk of the "D" in ADV on the embroidering on the neck line.
Protection wise the armor in the elbows and shoulders fit well and sit where they should when riding. Textile down the shoulders to the wrists seems adequate (thankfully have not tested).

This is my first jacket to go along with my first bike. I like the fit (had to buy 1 size up). I mostly bought it for the reviews of the air flow as I wanted to wear on the way to work but didn't want to show up sweaty. It has to be quite warm to wear this jacket without the liner other wise there is so much airflow it can get a little cool. Overall good jacket.

Very bright summer protection
I got the hi vis and is it ever! The air flow is good and it feels good having the high visibility with all the distracted summer drivers out here. The armor in the shoulder and elblow is good. The pad in the back is just ok. The jacket is a little tight in the chest but I won't have many layers underneath it anyway. I'm 5'10 175 athletic build and its snug in the chest and arms but not restrictive. There's a strap on the arm to cinch the armor in place. I got it unde $100 and it's a great deal. My wife immediately ordered the white for herself!

Nice jacket at a very nice price.
After viewing the video I thought the Medium should fit me alright but still decided to go with the Large one. I am glad I went with the Large one which fits me well (5'9 at 180 lbs).
I like the jacket very much and I am considering to purchase an Extra Large one for cool weather riding.
