Great for extending your riding season.
Gear geek Joe was extremely helpful with selecting this jacket. He even went and pulled one from stock to give me his impressions of fit and finish. Shipped fast and arrived quickly.

As is stated it defiantly runs small, especially in the waist. I like my riding gear to be snug fitting so I opted for a Large. For reference; I'm 5'11" 175lbs athletic build (wide shoulders/narrow waist), my summer mesh jacket is the Scorpion Hat Trick in size Medium. The AVG fits comfortably with the liner and my hoody on. Snug across the back and chest through the arms. However the waist is very tight. I have a flat stomach, not a 6 pack but toned, so the gut is good just the bottom hem of the jacket is tight. I have the adjusters all the way loose so I might just have a tailor put in stretch panels on the sides if it gets annoying. All that said I bought this as a "winter" jacket so the tight fit seals the air out very well and I don't notice the fit it while riding.

The armor is all CE rated, even the back pad. It is well designed and should give me plenty of protection should I ever find myself shiny side down. Hopefully I'll never have to test it. The back armor is very large and stiff. You definitely feel its presence but it's not obtrusive or limit movement on the bike. If you are barrel chested it could be annoying on a long ride.

I had a chance to ride it in 34F weather. It did a great job keeping the wind out and warm in at 70 mph. The thermal liner that comes with the jacket is junk. Very thin and cheap feeling. Not a problem for me as I removed it and just wore my hoody, didn't miss the liner.

I purchased the jacket in the red trim. The styling is super cool, bold but not obnoxious. It's well built with solid seams, quality zippers, and rugged material. For reference all the grey looking material is high quality reflective material so that adds to the safety of the jacket with out hurting the style. The material is breaking in very quickly and overall it's comfortable to ride in. The venting is not all that good but that's a big plus for a cold weather jacket. ( Thus the low score, in this case low flow = great)

In summery; for the money you're not going to be able to beat it if you want to extend your riding season. I've worn it indoors and it definitely keeps the heat in, so I don't see it as a warm weather jacket. Riding in near freezing temps it blocked the wind nicely and my hoody helped with the insolation. The armor feels more then up to the task if called upon. Only gripe is the very tight fit across the bottom of the jacket. I could go to XL but I'm concerned that it would be too loose everywhere else. Again, for the cost, it's a minor gripe.

Really nice winter jacket
The jacket is good for south California winter. It will make you sweat if you put this on at 70 degree.
I'm 6' 2''. 190lbs. Large is a little bit small for me.
Make sure you select one size up.

Best jacket I ever owned!
Firstly, I live in Canada, and I had to add about $100 (CAN) to the price of $135 to get the jacket shipped here and passed Canadian Customs. I thought we had a free trade deal with the US - but apparently not applicable to motorcycle jackets - nuff said...
I shopped online for a long time before I settled on this AGV jacket. It was worth it. The style is very fetching, because this jacket was designed by somebody who has at least has been to Italy. With my Simpson Helmet, and iridium face shield - I look bad!
However I did carefully remove some parts I didn't need, such as the velcro waist belt, and all the little fabric zipper pull extenders.
The jacket cuts through the air very smooth, and I almost felt naked at 80MPH - from a wind/drag point of view. I like the velcro wrist/glove tighteners. I like the heavy duty zipper, and heavy duty construction throughout. This is a great jacket, but honestly, if you'all went out and bought them, then mine would not be as unique - and if you do, please don't come to Canada with it on....just kidding.
Remember to add a size bigger, as I am 5'-8" (155lbs) and a Large was just barely big enough - I want to wear a fleecy thing under when it's colder than 10C.

Awesome fit!
I am 5' 10.5", weigh 175, and have a 43" chest. I followed Revzilla's advice and ordered one size up with a Large. The jacket fits perfect and is very comfortable. I am happy with what I got for the $$$. Airflow is low and that is what I wanted as that I am in the Pacific NW and it is always 60ish or less degrees here.

Great Jacket
Love the jacket. However, the jacket does run a little small. I'm 5'9" 230, I ordered the xxl every part was fine except for my arms. They were a bit snug. Revzilla did a great job with sending me the xxxl within a timely manner. The jacket is just very well put together.

Small but great quality
Jacket seems to run a little smaller than most. waste and length fit look to be a bit more of European sizing than US. I got a XL(6' 230lbs) and it fits a little snug. Love all the other aspects of the jacket. Interior liner is warm and styling is great.

Awesome Jacket with good protection and comfort level
This is an awesome jacket which I picked up for my Himalayan ride and this is my first riding jacket. Please continue reading below on my take on this jacket.

Sizing: Definitely Small
I'm 5'7" tall, 40-42" Chest, round belly around 40" Waist, as I do not live in US I went for Medium as per the sizing chart which does not have any info on the Waist measurement. When the Jacket arrived through my aunt who was returning back to India from US, I found it difficult to wear it. I cursed myself that I should have gone for a Large. Anyways the sizing issue motivated me to reduce some weight :-).

Zippers: The main zipper does get stuck sometimes with the outer line. The zippers are not free flowing, they do get stuck most of the times. The zippers were a bit disappointing

Seasonal Usage: Definitely not for summer, the vents are not enough to keep you cool in the summer. I rode in Delhi at 113 F(45 C). I could not ride for more than an hour and I was drenched with sweat. As for Winter its good to stand probably 60 F(15 C), but that might be because of me as, I am from part where its normally warm 80-95 F(25-35 C) and I'm not used to really cold climate. So i would say that the Jacket would be good for 50 F(10 C). Anything below you might require some additional thermals. Have not tested the jacket in a full blown monsoon rain, but did hold up in a good drizzle, but that is to be expected.

This is an exceptional Jacket when it comes to comfort, I did not even feel like wearing the jacket some of the times. It has a good shoulder and elbow puddings/protection which are CE approved. It also has memory foam padding for the back, this kind of helped me relax my back. It also has a zipper to attach your pants. The reflective piping is really good as it comes in broader size allows people in the rear know that you are riding in the front, It was helpful in the night to lead some of the other bikers.

Looks good, full of features but just doesn't fit right.
This would be my third jacket. I am returning it because it does not fit at all the way a moto jacket should. I am 6'2" slim athletic build so I have to look for "euro" fit type jackets. I have a fieldsheer that is too big but works great with a down jacket underneath(winter). I also have a Dainese mesh jacket for the summer. It fits GREAT but not many features for the cost. I know that AGV sport is NOT Italian even though it flaunts the colors. It is rated as a EURO fit, but they just make their jackets very very small. Not a proper fit at all. The sleeves are way too short, and the elbow pads are about 3 inches off too far down AND hang under my arm... WTF?? I ordered a large and with the liner taken out, I can just barely put it on, but it is super uncomfortable. Not to mention the back pad actually IS CE rated even though not listed on Revzilla as such, but it is very flat, stiff, and non removable. The pocket to get to it is about half the size of the actual pad. you would have to cut something to remove it. Seemed too good to be true for the price and now I know why. You would have to be a very awkwardly shaped person to fit this jacket. I will go back to spending much more for a featureless yet COMFORTABLE jacket.

Pockets NOT WATERPROOF !!!
I Bought this jacket so when I ride in the rain I would not need to worry about getting my phone wet, the contrary happened, the first day it rained I wore the jacket put my phone, wallet, registration in the pocket, when I finished riding, the phone was drenched in water, the wallet was done, and the registration was garbage because water had accumulated in the pocket, had to get new phone, new wallet, and new registration, what a mess !
Please don't advertise as water proof !!

BEST ANSWER: what a time we question! I am currently in the process of returning my second jacket 2 RevZilla. by all accounts, the measurements that I have should have put me into an XL. when I receive that first jacket it was very snug in the arms were just a little too short. I sent that back and got an XXL size which I received yesterday. That jacket was slightly better, however I couldn't wear anything more than a t-shirt underneath it. being I ordered this for a spring / fall riding jacket I knew that I would be layering up and possibly wearing a sweatshirt XXL would not allow me to do that. so today I ordered a XXXL, that I hope to receive soon. The AGV sizing guide is worthless. I am 5 foot 9 and 215 pounds and I've never worn anything larger than an XL in anything. so my recommendation would be to order at least one size larger than what you think you need, and possibly two sizes larger to be comfortable
Whats the max temperature you would use this jacket in. I currently live in the northeast but moving to the northwest in a month or so. Would you say that low 80s gets too hot or would you say thats where it starts to get a little warm? I feel like a mesh jacket would only be good for about 2 or so months of the year but finding a textile jacket that can cover low to mid 80s is a little difficult.
Daniel R on Jun 2, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I use this jacket as my late fall and early spring jacket. I live in Maryland for reference. Once the temps get above 60 I switch to my Scorpion Hat Trick Jacket. The ventilation on the Sniper is not very good in hot weather. It works well for cooler temps. The textile is very good and I fully recommend this jacket for cooler or rainy weather. I found the size to be slightly small, but I like my jacket snug so it was ok. The reflective material gives you lots of visibility at night and the padding feels like it would do the job if needed. The only downside is the thermal liner is a joke, I wear a hoodie when riding in cool weather. If you are looking for a better hot weather jacket I recommend the Scorpion Hat Trick II Jacket. Mine is the the original version but other than styling changes they are almost the same. It is more of a hybrid mesh/textile. Enough mesh for 80+ temps when stuck in traffic but not so much as you freeze if caught out in a cold snap. Also has 3 removable layers and the rain layer doubles as a good windbreaker for cooler days.
Hi friends, my measurements are sleeve 23.62in, chest 37in, weight 171lb and height 5ft 8?64in, which is my right size? S? considering that I'll have a hoodie below... thanks!
Emiliano F on May 7, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I'm about 5'10'' and 145 lbs. I went with a Large and its about perfect fit for me. Could have a little bit more of a tail to prevent the jacket from riding up and whipping. Not sure of my sleeve and chest measurements. Hope that helps some. Great jacket if you get the right size for you.
Can you help me with what size i need?, My weight is 189 pounds and my height is 5.7 ft, on chest i have 39 inches
A S on Apr 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I'm about the same size but 72 inches and I ordered a large first but the sleeves were too short so I went and got a extra large. I would order a large for you.
I live in Florida August-May and due to such will see 40-90 degree weather. Will this jacket provide enough air flow to keep me cool during the hotter times of the year? Additionally, is there enough room under the jacket for a sweatshirt for winter riding?

Thanks.

BEST ANSWER: Honestly, i'd say no because there's vents but not a lot of them, as for size, it fits very snug, i wear a large size shirt and had to order a 2x to get it to fit. i love the jacket, but i wouldnt recommend it for humid/hot as it is in florida. Speaking as a Missouri fella.
hi , i wanna buy my first motorcycle jacket and i dont know what size to get , i am 5.9 , chest 45 , and 25 sleeve , should i get the L or the XL?? and does anyone have an idea how much does the package weigh ?

BEST ANSWER: Go larger than normal with the jacket. I thought I was a medium, called Revzilla. The person personally suggested to go large even though the chart said I was medium. The large that I purchased a year ago now fits me like a glove; but first time on, with the updated order of size "large", even this jacket felt very snug but I got used to it very fast.
does it include back, shoulder and elbow protectors ?

BEST ANSWER: Yes its got a removable back piece, very good shoulder, elbow and forearm armor.
I know this question has been asked but that sizing chart is insane. I'd like to try to get a snug fit but not too snug and I can't figure to go one size up or two. I normally get a large jacket for 42" chest 34" waist 165 lbs 5'11" but that's where AGV Sport start their chart (small)!

Can I follow advice and get a medium or do I get a large? Of course you want a bit of looseness to put a layer under for warming up but I don't want some saggy bulky jacket, I'd prefer a good fit.

BEST ANSWER: I am 5-10 and 190 w/ 36" waist and 44" chest. The XL was tooo large in the mid to upper part of the jacket. I got the Large and it much better. You can still layer. This jacket is sooo much bang for the buck.
Is the foam back padding removable and/or is there a pocket for an alternative back protector?

BEST ANSWER: Yes it is removable, it isn't very easy to do because the opening at the top to remove it is rather small. This pocket should fit other armor if you want to. I feel the one that is in there already is very nice.
