Good all round sport riding jacket I think this is a fantastic summer jacket (when I think aesthetic gear is more important than weather protection) with good airflow. For day to day riding/commuting to work I would only wish for a pair of vertically zipped breast pockets and this would be a 5 star jacket in my opinion. June 12, 2015
Great Jacket Couldn't be any happier with my purchase. Quick delivery, great price, and the the recommendations for the sizing was spot on. Thanks!! June 7, 2015
love it!! great looking jacket One important thing right up front. RevZilla has the best customer service I have ever dealt with. Now about the jacket. I was looking for a jacket to replace a AGV Diablo Suzuki jacket that i have had for years that was just getting plain worn out. I loved the fit and style of that jacket and was hoping to find a suitable replacement when I came across this jacket. So I ordered.... Things to consider before ordering. No matter what size you measure in the "sizing chart" I suggest you order at least one size larger, if not two sizes larger. I measured as an XL, and my AGV Diablo jacket is XL so I thought that would be the correct size. Wrong! I received the XL and could barely get it zipped or get my arms thru the sleeves. I exchanged the XL, for XXL which only had slightly more room in it if I wore only a tee shirt under it. The sleeves were still tight and too short. Finally I ordered a XXXL. I have never worn or owned a jacket larger than XL, but the XXXL finally did the trick. Now I know I can layer up in cooler weather if needed. There was no way I could get a sweatshirt under the XXL. The sizing chart is useless. I have no idea where they get these measurements from. I'm 5'9" and 215lbs and don't consider myself fat. My old jacket (XL) fit great, even with the liner in. This may end up sounding like a negative review, but I do like the jacket. I have found a few things that I think could have been done better on this jacket, being a previous AGV owner I assumed it would have similar features and quality to my old jacket. One annoying thing I noticed on the first warm day of riding was how hard it was to open the vents while riding. Compared to my old jacket, the vent zippers in this jacket are too flexible in the fabric, so what should be an easy tug on the zipper to open becomes a bit of a fight. The sleeve vent zippers are not stiff enough and "flex" when pulled. Making them very difficult to open while riding. This is the same for the upper shoulder area vents, difficult to get to, and they just don't unzip easily. I am hoping this is only because they are new. The zippers on my previous jacket had larger teeth and opened quite easily with very little effort. I guess if you know it will be a warm day of riding you could open the vents prior to the ride, but if you start out on a cool morning it kind of defeats the purpose of an easy opening vent system. The other issue I found was the pockets, although fairly deep, they have a very narrow opening. I don't have large hands by any means, but retrieving a key, or your sunglasses, or a wallet out of the pockets can be a bit tough. It's like trying to stuff your hand in a jar with a small opening. Other than these issues, (vent zippers, and pockets), I do enjoy this jacket. It looks great, and has good armor protection. If I had to rate it, it would be 8 out of 10. My old jacket was a 10 but the don't make them any longer. May 25, 2015
Good jacket - might differ from picture Good jacket with all the right stuff. Fit is just like the reviews...small....so order up a size. To be clear, I wear a Medium - and I ordered a Large - and it fits me perfectly. Note - the jacket might not look exactly like the picture. I bought the black color because I liked the understated red text on the jacket (as it would match my bike). I was a bit disappointed when the jacket arrived and there really aren't any red highlights on it at all. I know this is small stuff, but most riders like their gear to match aesthetically. Just something to keep in mind. May 16, 2015
Great Jacket This is my first mc jacket ever and I bought it because of the look. I didn't want something too aggressive looking but something that would protect me. Fits a little small. The size chart said I needed a medium but I ordered a large instead because of previous reviews. The large fits me great and I love the feel. Great jacket. April 16, 2015
Way better than expected! I have been riding for 50 years.Iv'e been through 5 riding leathers and this was my first mesh ,armored riding jacket. I am totally impressed with not only the Protection against the wind but the fact that the jacket stops the wind very effectively. You can NOT beat this sniper jacket for comfort and durability. Not to mention the fact the the jacket is priced right. I would recommend this gear to everyone who rides. I have also received many compliments on the style of the jacket. and very well crafted. They thought of everything. April 7, 2015
Awesome bang for your buck! This jacket has exceeded my expectations right out of the box. For $140 I was expecting a decent 3 season jacket but is better than expected. Nice build, quality materials, and I like the overall design and a lot of reflective material is nice. But the sizing issue is true as I usually wear a medium so I ordered a large seeing all the other reviews and glad I did, it fits perfect one size larger. Highly recommended! April 7, 2015
good cheaper jacket Went on a 100 mile ride when it was 36 degrees out. Some cold seeps in at higher speeds but I only had to stop and warm up once. Pockets could be bigger but for the price this is great. April 6, 2015

Dale I: what a time we question! I am currently in the process of returning my second jacket 2 RevZilla. by all accounts, the measurements that I have should have put me into an XL. when I receive that first jacket it was very snug in the arms were just a little too short. I sent that back and got an XXL size which I received yesterday. That jacket was slightly better, however I couldn't wear anything more than a t-shirt underneath it. being I ordered this for a spring / fall riding jacket I knew that I would be layering up and possibly wearing a sweatshirt XXL would not allow me to do that. so today I ordered a XXXL, that I hope to receive soon. The AGV sizing guide is worthless. I am 5 foot 9 and 215 pounds and I've never worn anything larger than an XL in anything. so my recommendation would be to order at least one size larger than what you think you need, and possibly two sizes larger to be comfortable May 7, 2015

Dale I: Hi! Very timely question as I am in the process of returning my second order on this jacket. My own personal measurement indicated I should be an XL so I ordered that. Although it fit, the sleeves were short and it was way too tight for me. I ordered a replacement XXL (I have never ordered an XXL piece of clothing for myself ever). I received the replacement yesterday and that was also too snug. It was good if only a t-shirt was being worn, but being this is a spring/fall weather jacket i knew i would be layering clothing and also wearing a sweatshirt. Today i ordered an XXXL. i will be very disappointed if this comes in tight also. The size chart for AGV is horrible. I would recommend ordering at least one size larger than what you think you need, and possibly 2 sizes up I'm 5'9" - 215lbs and not fat, and already own an AGV May 7, 2015

John L: The AGV Sport Sniper Jacket runs pretty small. I would definitely suggest ordering one size up from what you would normally wear, especially due to the thought of wearing extra layers beneath.

I normally wear US size MD shirts, but ordered a size LG as I will normally have on a work uniform beneath the jacket. It ended up fitting perfectly.

Daniel R asked: Whats the max temperature you would use this jacket in. I currently live in the northeast but moving to the northwest in a month or so. Would you say that low 80s gets too hot or would you say thats where it starts to get a little warm? I feel like a mesh jacket would only be good for about 2 or so months of the year but finding a textile jacket that can cover low to mid 80s is a little difficult. Jun 2, 2015

Jay O: I use this jacket as my late fall and early spring jacket. I live in Maryland for reference. Once the temps get above 60 I switch to my Scorpion Hat Trick Jacket. The ventilation on the Sniper is not very good in hot weather. It works well for cooler temps. The textile is very good and I fully recommend this jacket for cooler or rainy weather. I found the size to be slightly small, but I like my jacket snug so it was ok. The reflective material gives you lots of visibility at night and the padding feels like it would do the job if needed. The only downside is the thermal liner is a joke, I wear a hoodie when riding in cool weather. If you are looking for a better hot weather jacket I recommend the Scorpion Hat Trick II Jacket. Mine is the the original version but other than styling changes they are almost the same. It is more of a hybrid mesh/textile. Enough mesh for 80+ temps when stuck in traffic but not so much as you freeze if caught out in a cold snap. Also has 3 removable layers and the rain layer doubles as a good windbreaker for cooler days. Jun 2, 2015

Marc D: Hey Daniel,

This is just my opinion, but I believe 80's might be when it starts to get warm, but I may be biased since I am a So Cal native (and not the nice weather like at the beach...more inland). This jacket, just like their other ones, has a removable liner to help you adapt to the heat. It also has so venting areas and, compared to the leather jacket that I normally wear, it is pretty light fabric. I do only wear it when I anticipate rain, though, so that means temps are already cooler, but I don't think this would be bad at all below the 90's. It won't breathe as well as other textiles and the sleeves seem shorter than I feel they should be (I'm 6'1" 180 lbs), but removing the back pad helped with that a little.

I hope this helps some!

matthewq m: I live in New York and I ride this jacket mostly year-round. Above 70 I take out the inner liner and around 80 I open the vents and maybe keep the zipper down about upper chest for venting in traffic. Its pretty warm for upper 80s but moving you're fine and its cooler than my leathers! For the price its a great jacket and I'll go down to mid 40s before putting a sweatshirt underneath it so it gets a lot of riding through the year. But yes 80s it is starting to get warm but I wear it for protection, a lot safer than a designated summer jacket. Jun 2, 2015

danny k: Mid 80's...... No. The jacket has some type of waterproof liner that allows no air flow at all. I wore it all winter and have yet to put in the liner. I guess if you only needed it for two months, and if you never had to stop, and you never zipped it up........... Jun 2, 2015

Geoff B: I'm about 5'10'' and 145 lbs. I went with a Large and its about perfect fit for me. Could have a little bit more of a tail to prevent the jacket from riding up and whipping. A S: Hi! I've been rolling with this jacket for about a year now. Gotta say I love it. I'm around the same sleeve and chest size, and I have a medium size. Since its an european cut one size up will fit perfectly. I also wear a hoodie below and its very comfortable. The only but is that the Jacket is very warm during day time, remove the inner liner and replace with your hoodie! May 21, 2015

Brandon J: Greetings A S,

I purchased the medium and my measuremnts are slightly bigger than the specs you listed. The medium has a snug but comfortable for. The inner liner may suffice if you don't need the hoody. The jacket is pretty comfortable in the fall with it. I reccomend the jacket.

Isaac R: Honestly, i'd say no because there's vents but not a lot of them, as for size, it fits very snug, i wear a large size shirt and had to order a 2x to get it to fit. i love the jacket, but i wouldnt recommend it for humid/hot as it is in florida. Speaking as a Missouri fella. Apr 9, 2015

A s: No, I am getting rid of mine because there just is no air flow. Waterproof jackets are just hot. I prefer a rainsuit when I need one and something that can flow some air when I don't. Apr 28, 2015

Jonathan C: Go larger than normal with the jacket. I thought I was a medium, called Revzilla. The person personally suggested to go large even though the chart said I was medium. The large that I purchased a year ago now fits me like a glove; but first time on, with the updated order of size "large", even this jacket felt very snug but I got used to it very fast. May 31, 2015

Anil G asked: I know this question has been asked but that sizing chart is insane. I'd like to try to get a snug fit but not too snug and I can't figure to go one size up or two. I normally get a large jacket for 42" chest 34" waist 165 lbs 5'11" but that's where AGV Sport start their chart (small)!

Can I follow advice and get a medium or do I get a large? Of course you want a bit of looseness to put a layer under for warming up but I don't want some saggy bulky jacket, I'd prefer a good fit.
