David R:I am 5' 10", 175 lbs with 42" chest. I wear a large in jackets from Icon, Olympia, etc but my experience with Dainese and AGV is that I have to buy a size larger than my normal size. I bought this jacket in an XL and it fits comfortably, not loose but not too tight.May 4, 2014
Nicolas P asked:Hey guys, just a bit curious as to what armor available on your site would best fit in this jacket? Also, does anybody have any experience regarding the durability/quality of its materials? Lastly, I've read that it fits relatively small in the sizing department while AGV's size chart seems to think otherwise, at 6'0 150 lbs 38" chest, what size would you guys recommend?
Jacqueline S:Hey Nicolas: I am a female who liked the style of this jacket and didn't find an equivalent in the womens' stuff. I would think a large would be fine. I am 5'8', with a 38' chest and wanted enough room for either armor or to wear it over an armored vest (which is what I do most often). The large is a little big on me but perfect for that layering. I love the jacket--well made, very comfortable and the kevlar is in all the right places. The back armor from my Scorpion mesh textile jacket fits in there; however, not sure what would fit in terms of elbows. As I said, I generally wear the jacket over an armor vest with spine and chest protection. Hope this helps. JackieJan 7, 2014
Paul S:I used standard CE armour at first but changed it out to to d3o armour which is much better.
As for quality it's quite good for the price but it is only Kevlar lined in places not fully, and doesn't have a liner or inside pockets. I bought it for summer riding in the desert heat as airflow is great.
Regarding size, I'm 6'2" 200lbs 48" chest and got 2xl which it a bit big, should have got the xl but everyone said fit was small for me it wasn't
David R:For the shoulders and elbows I used spare ce approved armor from other of my jackets that were no longer usable. Those pads fit perfectly in the AGV kevlar jacket. I bought a Klim backpad from Revzilla. That pad fit with only very slight trimming needed. It was 15.5 long and 11.5 at the widest point. The armor is not very noticeable and doesn't detract from the fit of the jacket.May 4, 2014
