Promising jacket, but fits very awkwardly
Having read reviews before purchasing, I opted to get 2 sizes larger than what I would normally purchase (size 42). Being 6' tall and 150lbs, I have a rather skinny stature. I knew I could live with a bit of extra space in the chest, but didn't want a short jacket.

Well, they came in and they were still too short. The width was the jacket was a little large, but doable. However, the length of the waist and the sleeves were too short for me. The waist didn't cover my belt line, so it looked like I was wearing a belly shirt. The sleeves didn't cover the bottom of my radius bone. Needless to say I returned for a different product immediately.

I would steer away from this particular product unless you're on the shorter side.

LIke a lot, seems short, most comfortable in 3/4-full tuck.
I chose my red jacket based on chest size. I'm 6'4", 175 lbs, 38" chest. Jacket fits absolutely perfect in the chest and shoulders for me. Chest and back vent as expected. There is little to no perforation in the forearms. Late summer riding in Arizona leaves my forearms and biceps sweaty so it can be tough to wriggle out of the jacket sometimes.

I have unusual physiology....really long arms, broad shoulders, small chest, so this jacket sits slightly short at the elbows, and even shorter at the cuffs than most of my other jackets. Gloves cover the gap, but even with full Knox Handroids, the rolled neoprene barely stay in them. The sleeves of the jacket seem to want to pull out of the gloves while I'm riding, and sometimes the armpits feel excessively tight. If you prefer shorties, and are built anything like me, the jacket won't make it all the way. Check pic.

However

All of this is quite easily solved by being less lazy and riding in a more aggressive tuck. The precurve and stretch panels take up and give slack, and the pressure in my armpits goes away, the elbows don't feel as short, tight and awkward. But, this causes the jacket to pull up in the back, where it already feels too short. It sits well above my hips. So much so, that I'm considering not even buying AGV compatable pants to zip into the jacket for fear that I wouldn't be able to ride the pants high enough for the zippers to connect.

Overall, good jacket, just slightly shorter than others I have.

Check image upload.

S-I-C-K jacket!
This jacket is just way too sexy! hahaha, it's wayyy cheaper then other popular brands but I feel that it offers equal protection, specially the fact you are able to use forcefield armors (I haven't yet, but probably will get the back armor soon)

The fit is quite snug, I'm 5'11", 170lbs, chest 37 in, waist 34 in, i got size 40 and it fits like a glove, I need gauntlet style gloves but for now my gloves cover me well

Just rode a total of 3 hours with the jacket and it's so comfortable, the air flow is amazing, even at 150km/h (not crazy just tested it out on a practically desert road)

It's so snug that I can't really put anything in the pockets though, my cellphone stays in my pants usually, the liner really helps when the temperature goes down quite a bit at night

Overall, this jacket makes me look real good and i feel really protected!

Buy it, you'll love it!
I low sided at 40mph, this jacket saved my elbows and my back. I walked away unscathed! By the way, I still wear the jacket because it held up pretty darn well from the crash. no tears or cuts on the leathers at all. *boom - mind blown!*

Pretty good jacket
I am 155 lbs, as many other reviews recommended to buy 2 sizes higher than what the sizing chart gives. I did exactly so and the jacket fits perfectly.

Short people only
I am 6' 185 lbs and an average build. I got this jacket in a 44 and the sleeves were almost comically short. I immediately exchanged for a 46 and they were still short enough to make it look like I was wearing my little brother's jacket. This jacket is AWESOME for the price but its a shame I didn't even get to do a ride in it. You should only get this jacket if you are short with short limbs. Tall guys need not apply.

nice jacket for a small price!
Got this jacket a couple weeks ago and finally got a chance to try it out. I am 6'2 180 with a 42" chest. I got the size 42. Since I am tall, the length is a tad bit short but this is a race cut jacket so it should just come down to the top of the waist anyway. The build is excellent and solid. Hope i never have to test it in a fall but feel that if I did I would be protected. The fit was tight at first but after wearing it around the house and on a couple of rides now, it is breaking in. The armor stays put and is exactly where it should be on the shoulders, elbows, forarms. I can squeez it over a hoodie although its really tight if I do. I've gone out in about 43 degree wheather and it was a little chilly. If i would have had a hoodie underneath i would have been fine. We shall see how it handles hot wheather onece it warms up around here.....if ever. The airflow seems sufficient enough. Revzilla is awesome and their product review video's are a huge help in making a decision. This is my fourth purchase from them and definately not the last. I plan on getting a new shoei soon and new leather #alpine stars# towards fall.

Extremely Aggressive but AMAZING
Every rider has their own preference. I, for one, love a very aggressive jacket that hugs my arms and body like a second skin. This jacket is by far not a touring jacket. But at its price, this is an AMAZING aggressive jacket. Yes the arm length is short. Guess what, I have short arms. So it works.

I love the venting in this jacket. I ride in 90+ weather, and yes, I have to bring a second shirt to work. But while riding, this jacket causes no discomfort.

Agv sport needs to make more jackets like this one.

Super cheap. Great quality. Awesome snug/slender fit. Great venting. Throw away the liner. And have a safe and fun ride!!

Great Jacket for the price.
I bought this jacket at a great sale price and you can't beat the quality for the low price. with that being said. i ordered a 40 and the jacket fit is average once broken in a little. the arms do seem to run a little short but with proper gloves its no big deal. another slight down side is i've had the jacket for about a month and the neoprene by the neck and wrist has shown a little wear from my gloves but i do use the jacket daily. i would recommend this jacket but just be sure to do your research on what size you want.

Bang for the buck! 1 or 2 sizes smaller though...
Great leather jacket and well worth it for the leather quality and the features it has.
I would caution people to buy 2 sizes up if you have an athletic or medium size built though. I am 5'4", 160 lbs with athletic/medium size built.
I ordered size 42, and normally wear a 40. With a 42 it was quite small with all the pads. If I were racing on the track, it would be fine. However, I plan to wear it for summer commuting.
Because I'm used to wearing somewhat loose jackets, I had to remove the back protector and shoulder pads. It already has the exterior aluminum insert, and forearm/elbow pad too, not to mention the sport hump and a backpack I usually wear.
It does feel a lot more comfortable without all the pads. I should've ordered a size 44 instead, but Revzilla is sold out.
I would only complain about the length of the waist, as it does sit quite high. If you are overweight, it could be a problem trying to zip it and attach to a pair of pants.
This type of jacket may not be the style for certain body builds. It really is made for fit riders who race on the track occasionally...

Cheapest leather jacket that looked so cool, shoulder sliders, reflectivity (dunno how good though), a great buy, hopefully it fits me right.

Don't need anything fancy but with decent protection and future add-on options. This is a great price with lots of features. I order one size up and still too tight. Had to return it and order another size up. Like other review, it's the best overall bundle sub $300 leather jacket. Love the return policy with Revzilla and the print out of prepaid return UPS labels. I pay a little bit for a lot of convenience. It's great.

Great price, excellent expected quality. Willow pants are awesome, will match these up. Still don't understand the incompatible zippers between pants and jackets but I will deal with it. At least they give you both sides of the zipper to make it easier.

Can you recommend a back insert to beef up the amour?
A shopper on Jan 23, 2013
BEST ANSWER: While a Ribeye or Prime Rib will offer the most protection, we think the smell would become an issue after a few days - especially in the heat. You'll probably want to look at something a little leaner, perhaps a nice Brisket or, if price isn't an option - Tenderloin. We know you asked us for something that would beef up protection, but honestly we think a slab a pork would do the trick as well. Depending on your local market price, it may even be cheaper!

Wait, what? A figure of speech? Oh! I'm sorry, I totally misunderstood you. In that case, I would recommend the SAS-TEC Back Protector in the 1/11 size, though you would have to trim it to fit (which the manufacturer says will not affect protection - but will void the warranty). SAS-TEC armor is very flexible and comfortable, but probably not as tasty as the cuts of meat mentioned previously. Another option that may work without trimming is the Forcefield BackPad Insert Pro (Type B, Small). The closure system of the back protector pocket is abnormally small, so you may have a tough time getting the backpad in place - but both the SAS-TEC and Forcefield protectors are fairly flexible.
Of the three colors listed on this jacket, is the option for the black color the jacket that is almost all black (except for the stitched logo and reflective panels) or is it the black and gunmetal option I've seen around as well? The black/gunmetal is a similar design to the red and blue versions you have posted except the color panels are grey/gunmetal. Thanks.
Vu N on Jul 11, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Hi Vu N,

I have the "black" version & it is almost entirely black apart from the stitching, AGV Sport logos & shoulder sliders.

Great jacket & am really happy with it!

Cheers

Steve
will this jacket zip up to the agv willow pants?
A shopper on Feb 26, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes...
But, when mating my size 44 jacket to the size 32 Willow pants there's a few zipper teeth remaining unzipped, about 1 inch on the jacket. That's if I use the full zipper. The small zipper mates perfectly.
Hello,

I bought this jacket for my boyfriend a couple weeks ago, and I ordered a 42. (He measured a 40). I had to send it right back because it was very tight on him, he could barely get it on. I need to order in a bigger size, i'm just not sure if I should go with a 46, or even a 48? he is about 6 feet tall, about 175 pounds, with pretty broad shoulders. Any advice on which I should order?

Thanks!
A shopper on Sep 4, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I wear a Vanson 44 well, the Photon is much tighter- more of a race fit, and a little short. More of a Pedrosa cut. Maybe he would do better in the 46, nice to be able to return it.
I want to order a 46. Any opinions on if that will work? I'm about 5-8 close to 180 with a pretty muscular build up top (broad shoulders for a short dude as well). I never work out legs so i'd say the majority of my weight is in my upper body. I hate leg day :( Haha!
A shopper on Sep 22, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I am about 5'10" and ordered a 44. Fits me like a glove. I am usually a 38 to 40 in most suits. I would say that unless you are freakishly jacked, I would go with 4 or 6 up from what you usually order. Mine fits nice a snug, but thats how I like it. Also, if you plan on wearing a hoodie or jacket underneath, you may want to be toward the upperend, maybe even 8 above your normal. P.S. don't skip leg day. Everyone hates it, but just don't be that guy.
I have a 37" chest, so by the size chart, it looks like I should get a size 38. But, that is not in the size list. Is it not available? Should I be considering a 40?

Thanks!
Rob B on Jul 17, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes, 40 is the smallest size available that AGV Sport makes for this jacket. Luckily it's not as loose as you think it might be, especially if you wear a chest/back protector vest.
Would the icon Stryker vest fit under this ?
Mathew P on Feb 28, 2016
