1st pair took a beating, bailed off the bike, tumbled, and slid 50ft through a field of rocks and dirt, the knuckle protector worked as promised, gloves destroyed, I walked away with scratches on my arms from riding with only my stryker vest, but my hand were untouched!!! Buying my second pair today, I love these things.

When I was shopping for another pair of gloves for this summer I had checked out NUMEROUS gloves and I always read the reviews.
I was looking for gloves that were going to be cool, comfortable, but I wanted them to have Protection also. One feature that I really like and had on my last pair was the independent Knuckle Protection. (not sewn directly in to the knuckle area of the glove). My last pair were Alpine Star's and were nice gloves with that feature.
When I found these gloves I was a little concerned about how they would look. (the picture doesn't do them justice). I did not want to look like I was prepared for Inter-Galactic Battle!
When I received them I was very Pleased. They actually look nice. I would have to describe them as looking functional, but almost dressy. They are sharp looking.
The two things I was most impressed with was the fit. Yeah you guessed it! They give the term "Fit like a Glove" a whole new meaning. I have a small hand, and short fingers, but they fit great.
They are super comfortable, and you couldn't get better air flow. These gloves are in my opinion Top Notch. Can't beat the price either for the protection and all the other features. I may buy another pair so I will have them when these wear out.
That's how much I like them!

For $35, these gloves felt every bit as good as the Alpinestars S-MX 2 I tried on in a store and more comfortable than the Shift Fury gloves my buddy got. The gloves seem to have all the key features of a good summer glove, and I feel safer with the hardened knuckles over a basic padded glove. Quality seems fine, but I've only worn this for a few weekends so I can't comment on long-term durability.

The air flow on top is very good. Great protection. Short thumb, pushes on my thumbnail. Hot palms, almost like having heaters on.

I was wondering how these gloves compared in ventilation and feel. Is the palm thickness comparable regarding control feel? Do either seem like the palms would wear out quicker? Which would provide better hand cooling? I noticed the SMX-2 has breathable material on the hand but no vents while the Mayhem has less breathable material/mesh but a lot of venting. The SMX-2 also has minor breathable material in the palms while the Mayhem does not. What about size? I was able to try on an XL SMX-2 at a somewhat local shop recently and it was long in the fingers but felt good otherwise. Based on the sizing chart I should wear a Medium SMX-2 but with the XL try on I thought a Large might work. There is no chart for AGV gloves but I normally wear an 8 1/2 or Medium in Held street gloves. With the review stating they are true to size I'd guess I'd want a medium for the Mayhem but am unsure. Primary use for these gloves would be offroad trail riding and dualsport rides.

I have had my smx 2 gloves for a couple of months. The palms are holding up great and I don't anticipate any premature wearing. The ventilation could be better in the palm and my palms do get hot. They feel great and fit great and I am happy with them.9 months ago
