Great jacket, literally saved my skin.
Bought this to compliment the red CBR I owned at the time and because it was stylish looking and had a great price. I've had it for about 2.5 years now and probably ridden 6-7k miles in it. I went down in it at above highway speeds, needless to say I'm lucky to even be typing this but I'll focus on how the jacket did, which to be put in one word; unbelievable. I had no bodily injuries from impact, the CE armor did it's job, and the right shoulder and arm areas took a lot of sliding and never gave out. Some of the seams have minor damage and I lost the reflector on the right shoulder, but the jacket is 100% intact and completely usable. This is way more than I would have expected at the speeds I was travelling considering it's only 1.4mm single layer in the impact areas instead of dual layer like some higher end jackets. The jacket did ride up a bit and I got some minor road rash on my sides, I've since put a CE back protector in it to help stiffen the jacket in this situation as well as protect my back of course. The added bulk and stiffness of the back protector aren't noticeable and I highly recommend it. So for protection I give this jacket a solid A+.

As far as the fit goes, I'm 5'10 175lbs, average to slightly muscular build, and my jacket is a size 40. It fits right about perfect with just a t shirt underneath, but becomes really tight when I try to wear even a thin hoodie underneath. I was only about 145lbs when I bought the jacket though and I do remember it fitting a little better back then.

Despite only having four basic vents, two front and two rear, it flows a decent amount of air and I'm never unbearably hot wearing it in the summer. It's by no means the coolest jacket out there, but if you're worried about it being too hot compared to a perforated jacket then I would say it's not much of an issue at all. The jacket definitely doesn't insulate well though, so I wear my cold weather specific jacket for when temps start to get consistently below 55-60.

AWESOME JACKET
Really great styling on the jacket, very sharp and sleek.I am 5feet 6 inches & I went with the size small and it fits perfect. First day of riding this season and the temperature was 80... this jacket did comparatively well, air flows in through the vents but only when you are riding. It was comfortable throughout the day.
If you are looking for good leathers but don't wanna spend a ton of money, just get this jacket you will not regret it
PS: Uses the knox shape CE back armor

I Love This Jacket
My original plan was to buy an AGV Willow one-piece race suit - couldn't get the right fit on that so I opted for this jacket and the Willow pants, which zip right into this Dragon jacket. MUCH better choice since they can be used separately and zipped together for track days.

Comes with a shorter back zipper and 360 zipper as well. AGV includes both halves so you can sew them into non-AGV pants. Since my Willow pants came with jacket zippers, I was able to sew the spare onto the back of my kevlar riding jeans - awesome.

Minor stuff - if the back of the jacket was a little longer that would have been great - maybe another 2"? That said, the pants zippers keep it perfectly in place. Would have also liked a speed hump (like some other AGV jackets & suits offer), but there are cons to that too.

Fit - I'm 5'11", 180, 42" chest and I went with a 44. Perfect fit (I originally tried a 48 and I was swimming in it). Now, if you have large arms, especially forearms, the sleeves will be snug. I don't have huge forearms and it fits just right once broken in. Not cut for bulky guys or wearing layers like a sweatshirt in cooler weather. I just picked up an Under Armor warming compression shirt, long-sleeve, mock turtle neck. Feels GREAT under this jacket in cooler weather.

The style is great, I got the black & red. Visible without being too loud. Looks just like the Willow one-piece suit I tried originally. :)

Robust protection in a great package
I'm big on safety and style, and this jacket does not fail to impress. I have alot of leather riding jackets and this one gets most of the compliments. The leather is beautiful and the flat black finish with the red stripes helps in visibility in daylight. The logos are reflective and does help in dusk and night riding conditions.

Venting is very good, comfortable in low 50s to high 80s as I had tested it here in the warm SoCal weather, where it drops to the 50s after the sun sets. The liner helps with insulating me from the elements but a thermal liner or long sleeved shirt will definitely help on those rides by the coast at night.

Fit is spot on. I wear a size 42 coat and decided to order the same size. It was tight at first but fit perfectly after wearing it on rides as expected from any leather jacket. For guys that like wearing fleece or a hoodie under their jackets, order a size larger.

I have 3 AGVSport jackets and they like using Velcro in their jackets. This one has 2 Velcro clasps in front and each sleeve. I wish they used snaps as Velcro loses adhesion in the long run. The zippers are high quality and look like it would last for the life of the jacket. This applies to those on the inner liner too which nicely zips from top to bottom to eliminate pressing on your clavicles.

This jacket uses the Knoxx shaped CE armor should you want to upgrade. It only has foam in its back which offer minimum protection.

The cuffs fit perfectly though for me, i would need to use gauntlet type gloves to wear it over the cuffs. There is little room to push short gloves under them.

Did I mention the jacket is beautiful? I use it on and off the bike, it's that stylish and comfortable. The shoulder and elbow pads are nicely fitted, I don't even feel that they are there.

One of my favorite riding jackets in my collection. I love the AGVSport lineup of riding jackets and this does not fail to impress.

A great value jacket
I wear a 42 sport jacket and I am wearing this jacket with a Leatt Adventure Lite Chest/Back Protector (which I highly recommend. It is CE approved chest and back). I ordered this Dragon jacket one size up, a 44 and it fits perfectly with the Leatt protection underneath. The jacket looks good, without too many loud graphics and has a good sport fit. The neoprene collar is comfortable and overall, the jacket is well constructed. I am 5'7", 155# with a 41" chest and a 31" waist.Biceps are 151/4" and the jacket does fit my athletic build. A good buy.

Impressed!
First order for a leather jacket and totally got sizes wrong. Revzilla replaced it for free, and help me get on the right track as far as sizes go. They recommended a 44 (I'm tall, but pretty skinny at 6 feet and only 140lb). After sending the original back to them I did some more size research and concluded a 42 would be a better fit around my shoulders and back, even if sleeves are a little short. So I called back up and since the new jacket hadn't shipped yet they were able to change the size for me again (Thanks guys, you rock!)

So now time for actual review...
Once the 42 came in it fit great! Sleeves weren't as short as i was thinking, and it fit perfectly around my chest and back with some wiggle room for comfort. The pads line up perfectly and the jacket as a whole feels incredibly sturdy. To date, i have not been on a bike with it so I can't say how it feels with the wind blowing through it, but running around my house like a madman with it on proved it was at the least comfy.

After feeling good about the jacket and knowing I wouldn't return it I got down to some testing and breaking down. First off, the quilted vest liner does a fairly decent job of keeping me warm (since SoCal rarely gets cold anyway). Even still, at night it drops to the mid to low 40's lately and I took it out to see how it felt in cooler weather. I wan't really moving, but wind was blowing pretty good and I still felt warm. I then ran back inside to take the liner out and went back outside and did notice a difference. Not much, but on a bike it is enough to distract you for that half second.

The armor was also pretty good. This was a simple test of dropping onto my elbows and see how it felt. Armor did a great job, i felt almost no impact on my elbows at all. And will be buying a forcefield sub4 as well and possibly a chest protector to go with the jacket. (those temprafoam things won't cut it)

All in all, worth it in my books and as soon as bike is ready, will be testing it on the road, but hopefully not actually having to test its durability -__-.

Really liking this thing so far
Headed to the track for the first time this summer and grabbed this guy and the sport willow pants for a amazing bang for the buck suit that zips together. I'm a smaller guy at 5'10 and 150 pounds and a 42 fits me great. Revzilla was great about the exchange as well. It feels great on my sport bike, but walking around I'm not the biggest fan of how much pre-curve is built into the arms but it's not a big deal. My only other gripe with this jacket is the pockets are very hard to get into with everything zipped, but again its a minor deal. it vents very well for a leather jacket and the armor feels good as well. Overall I would recommend this jacket.

Great Jacket, First leather riding jacket
Got the jacket quickly, took it out for a 2 hour ride today. Very form fitting, pretty tight in the arms, but not to tight. I'm a big guy, 6' 265# My chest measures 51", I wear 42" pants. I ordered the 52" jacket, hoping it would fit and not be to tight. It is tight, like you want a riding jacket to be, fairly stiff out of the box, but starting to stretch and feeling just right after the first couple of hours. I left out of the city at about 84F and went up into the mountains, probably into about 45F in areas. Had the zippers on the front open and the back, and the arms unzipped and just hooked at the end with the velcro. Also had the insulating liner out of the jacket. No temperature issues, felt good the entire time, even coming back in the dark at lower temps was fine. The jacket feels very substantial, and seems like a lot more protection than my previous mesh textile jacket. Not much in the way of pockets or storage, but that's not what I want in a jacket anyway, I throw everything in the back under the cowl. Great at speed, took it up to 135 a couple of times, no weird wind issues or anything. Looks well made, leather is substantial. So far so good. Seems like it will be a great addition to the riding gear closet. Thanks

Really solid without being exceptional
Pros:
-Build is fantastic
-Nice thick leather
-Stylish
-Breaths okay
-Nice placements of vents
-Matches willow racing pants
-Soft neck lining really does feel great
-True size fit

Cons:
-Can be uncomfortable until break-in
-Zipper pull tabs seem flimsy

Really, that's about it. You get exactly what you pay for (in this case) and it's really solid without being exceptional, which I think AGV was going for.

I'm 6"2' and weigh 165 lbs/32" waist and got the 44 size jacket, if you're built like me, on the thinner side/longer arms, get the 42.

Would definitely recommend.

Nice leather jacket. I'm 5'7" 170lbs. got a size 40 fit perfect. wanted a black and white but no longer available..ended up with all black. nice leather. perfect sleeves length.down side is the hard plastic AGV logos across the chest and on the sleeves. it is rough on the edges. can scratch your bike if accidentally brushed against it. would be real nice if it was embroided.

I currently ride a Sv650, it does not have a very aggressive riding position (more upright) , I was wondering since this jacket has the pre-curved sleeves will that feel funny or restrict my arms from being straighter?
A shopper on Mar 3, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No, I ride a ninja zx1400 and the jacket work for me in both position. I am 6'2 about 260 and I love AGV jackets. The protection is in the position it's suppose to be. If you go down you don't want your protection moving around. I just purchase two AGV helmets and love them. Buy the jacket if you don't like it , like Anthony alway say you can send it back. That why I purchase from Revzilla!!!
Is the back pad removable?
A shopper on Nov 10, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It is removable and can be replaced with a better one as it doesn't provide much padding or have any structure to provide support. This is still a great buy. Be sure to figure out the correct size though because they fit a little different than other jackets and if it's your first purchase they will let you exchange it for free shipping
I have a 38" chest and 31" waist... will a 40 fit my alright? I have an athletic build.
Joshua L on Jan 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: A 40 will fit you but might be a tad loose on the chest area and a bit more on the waist. I would say it feels snug and not cheap. The waist have no way of cinching it tighter unlike the alpine stars and dainese, although I would say its the best bang for your buck leather jacket. Be careful on the zipper tags on the sleeves, they're not that strong, mine ripped after the second wear.
Has anyone tried both this and the willow on? Is the dragon as a relaxed fit as the willow or does the dragon have more of a racing cut? I have a 42" chest but I lift and have large shoulders and arms and couldn't even zip the size 42 willow all the way up. I'm debating on whether to try the dragon next or size up the willow to a 46.
A shopper on Sep 3, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I purchased the AGV dragon jacket last summer for some extensive track riding that I had planned. I'm 5'11" and weigh 205lbs. I ordered the size 46 and it fits me fine although it is definitely a racing cut vs. relaxed fit which was fine with me for track work. It's a well built jacket and I've since upgraded the back protector insert with a Forcefield Sport Lite protector. It's a great jacket however if you're looking to do any fall riding and need to layer up, the only suitable gear that I've found in conjunction with the race fit of the jacket is UA Cold gear as anything else is going to leave you feeling a bit packed in!
Hi guys, does this jacket have a 360 zipper pant attachment?

BEST ANSWER: Yes it does, unlike the Willow which I also own that has the small zipper.
For those of you who've owned this jacket awhile now, how much did it stretch after break-in? I have a 41'' chest and trying to decide between the size 40 or 42. Does your jacket seem a little looser now than when you first wore it?

BEST ANSWER: It will break in a bit but not a lot. I would go with a little bigger as it will give you the option of wearing more layers underneath if you live in an area that gets cold in the winter.
Is this a good jacket to wear in the fall? 30-50 degree weather? I have a mesh jacket and its way to cold for that especially at high speeds and at night.

BEST ANSWER: This jacket is perfect for that temperature range when wearing the liner that is included. Here is dipped into the mid 40's and I had a long sleeve shirt and the jacket without the liner and found myself pretty comfy. The only part that might get you will be when the wind hits your neck. For that I would recommend a mask for that purpose :)
How tight is your size 40, or 42? How big are you? I'm 5'6'' 140lbs, 30 in. waist. I have a large Icon that is WAY too big. My Alpinestar is Euro 50, it fits perfect with just enough room for a hoodie on cold days. I don't want a skin tight jacket, so should I order a 42 in the Dragon Leather? I still want a snug fit. Anything will be better than that Large Icon.....

BEST ANSWER: I'm 5'9" 180 lbs 32inch waist. I wear a size 42 and it fits me well with just a base layer shirt/ long sleeve under it with a back protector installed. There is no room under there for a hoodie or anything thick due to it's slim/sport cut. It has a thermal layer, I never needed a hoodie for it since I got it. It will break in a little after a few hundred miles but it still has that snug tight fit.
Is this a jacket I can use at the track?
A shopper on Aug 6, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The dragon leather is certainly durable enough and flexible enough for the track. It has nice armor and a place to insert a back protector. I would definitely wear pants that would zip up to it as the jacket is your typical snug short lengh.
Will the arms on this jacket feel a little strange while riding a cruiser?

BEST ANSWER: I normally ride a street triple and that's fine. Took a Victory Vegas for a ride recently and was comfortable on that too. Love the jacket went for a bigger that normal fit so could put a hoodie under it. My mate got one recently and recons it's the best jacket he has had. He has way more riding experiace than me
