CRASH TESTED, Better off in Jeans
Low sided wearing these at 40 mph, they came apart at every seam, knee armor shifted and now I got two giant holes in my knee that I had to get surgery on. Still got rash on both legs and lower back.

Sure they were comfortable and move a lot of air, but what good is that when they don't protect you.

Covered at last!
I bought these pants in February (Virginia) figuring I'd be able to suffer in the cold for the next few weeks until the temperatures reach the warmer levels that these pants were designed for. Prior to these pants I was just wearing ski pants over my work slacks on my daily 35-mile-each-way 90% highway commute, which left me warm but totally unprotected from the waist down in the event of a 'get-off'. Now, with these riding pants I wear more layers, but I am almost as warm AND protected. Now it's Boxers + Thermals + Work pants + AGV Pants.

Here goes my cold-weather review of these pants:

Wind:
These pants come with a super thin liner on the inside. This liner will not keep you warm or keep the wind off of you in the colder temperature ranges. You will need to wear a windproof layer over these pants or a thermal layer under them cold days #both on the coldest days#.

Protection, Fit, and Quality:
I have not crashed yet with these pants on, but they do feel durable and have good knee and hip protection. Bottom line, I feel protected when wearing these pants. The size is true to the manufacturer's scale. I did not find them to run larger or smaller than advertised. I wear a size 34-36 pant normally and the XL fits perfectly over my pants. The legs provide adequate space for my work pants even with the Reissa Liners in. The adjustable cuffs at the ankles can be tightened around my boots and do not move whatsoever while on the bike. The knee pads are substantial and rest exactly where they should while riding. They sag a bit #as expected# when standing. The craftsmanship seems to be top notch and I haven't encountered any loose stitching or defects. The hook-and-loop strips on the zipper and the ankles seem to be securely attached and don't look like they will start pulling apart.

Style:
This is the subjective part, but these pants look good to me. They are not overly baggy for motorcycle pants and they don't look like space-pants. They do not flap around while riding at highway speeds. The reflective piping is not obviously visible unless there is a light shining directly on them, but whey they light up they really stand-out. I feel that the black on black look is less juvenile and 'look-at-me' than the two-tone option so that's what I went with. No regrets.

Conclusion:
For cooler weather, these pants are great if you layer up to enhance the wind resistance and warmth retention. I am confident that during warmer weather these pants will become much more comfortable. I am happy with the purchase of these pants and don't see why anyone would need anything more from a pair of motorcycle pants. Great bang-for-buck factor. Buy a pair!

Great pants for the price, good balance of airflow and protection
These are great and stylish pants. After going across the US and wearing them for roughly 5000mi, I can confidently say I've tested them thoroughly. I've gone down twice in these, and both times I got up without a scratch.

Great things:
- Pockets are waterproof even when you remove the waterproof liner. (very important when you're caught in a sudden downpour and don't want to strip down to your underwear on the side of the road to put on the waterproof liner)
- Knee pads slide below your knees when you're standing and don't get in the way of walking, I played basketball wearing these with no issue.
- Great airflow when you want it, and great wind-blocking with the liner when you don't.

The only things I wished were better:
- NO BUTT PADS, please add butt padding pockets or make it come with butt pads in the next iteration
- seams by the pockets wore out quickly, had to get it sowed back (but it was only a minor tear and I used these heavily)
- more reflective strips, these pants only have 3

Stellar pants, great value
I've been in search of the perfect sport-oriented, affordable two-piece commuter suit for quite some time now (because some of us can't afford a certain expensive one-piece commuter/touring suit) and I believe I have struck gold.

When shopping around for two-piece commuter gear, I had a few requirements in mind:

1. The gear has to look good, and possess sportbike-oriented styling.
2.Removable water/windproof liners were a must so that the gear would be comfortable in a variety of gnarly weather conditions that Georgia presents to riders year round (read: hot, hot and humid, hot and humid and rainy, cool and rainy, you get the idea).

The second point is of particular importance to me because I don't actually own any form of transportation besides my SV, so any gear I drop money on has to be able to go the extra mile. That being said, so far these pants (and the matching AirTex jacket) fit the bill and then some. Great price point, amazing liner (I may have become a Reissa convert), and exceptional comfort, all the while fitting over my work slacks with ease. These seem as if they'll compliment my two-piece AGV leathers very well, allowing me to use leather during winter/late fall and the Airtex gear for the rest of the year. I'll also be able to save space in my gear closet by sticking to these two complimentary two-piece suits.

A positive note on sizing... My pants size is 32/34, and I ordered these in a 32 waist. Thanks to the velcro wait adjustments, these fit over my pants and belt just fine while wearing a belt and leaving plenty more room for adjustment if necessary. Given the sizing, the knee armor settles nicely into place when in a riding position.

These pants also come equipped with some hip padding, which I don't recall seeing a mention of in the description. Seems to be foam padding, and I haven't found any markings that tell me otherwise. In any case, the two hip pads are located inside of velcro sealed pouches and can easily be replaced with your preferred hip armor.

These pants look pretty durable, too. Solid construction and well-made material. I doubt they'd last more than one meeting with asphalt, but they are most definitely a safe bet when it comes to striking that fine balance between comfort and protection when commuting or doing some light touring.

Great Product
Used these on a recent trip to Colorado. They were great. Only shortcoming is they are a bit short for me, i think they list at 32 " which allowed them to ride up on my boot.

With the liners in, they are super warm and dry.

These Pants are great at a price you can't beat
Watch the overview video on revzilla about these pants, it will tell you eveything you need to know. These pants are VERY comfortable. I wear them everytime I ride and have no complaints. I bought these pants because I wanted overpants that did not look very baggy like the others. These are very good looking when going into public places after/during your ride when you are not on your bike. These feel like they will offer great protection if I am to wreck and they are very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I wear combat boots when I ride and the only downside to these pants is that I have to take my boots off to take the pants off. Not a big deal, just wish I had boots with a zipper on the side. The waist is very adjustable, so if you are concerned about side, get the right length and you will have plunty of room to tighten it around your waist.

Great pants, would be 5 stars if they weren't just a little on the short side
I bought these pants right before I left on a 3k mile, 9 day trip through midwest heat and rockies cold. I bought the XL size pants (I wear a 34/32 jeans) in hopes they would be a little on the longer side, but they were not. I would have liked them to be about 2" longer in the leg, but they still worked out great. I do not think you will be able to wear these over jeans, and I did not. I wore just underwear underneath on hot days and on cold days I had the liner and wore my under armour cold gear pants.

In the heat - These pants have vents on the back of the leg from just above the knee down past your calf, and work well. I could feel the armor in the knees and my sides of my hips, but they were far from uncomfortable and I was not getting overly warm in those areas. My last day of this trip I wore these pants for 17 hours, and 730 miles on the bike with no issue and the temps got into the 90's. I'm used to riding in jeans where the butt pocket squares begin to dig in to you, and these were a very different experience and my butt never had a problem. Very comfortable.

In the cold - I had the liner and my under armour cold gear on and was able to stay warm at 65mph in 30* F Yellowstone cold. I was able to stay comfortable in these pants in the cold.

Great pants, very great value. Only complaint is that I'd like to see a little longer pant leg. Tall guys may have an issue here (I'm only 5'9).

What I Expected
I wear a 33/32 in jeans and ordered a large because I wanted to wear them over jeans. They're a bit snug but will go over my jeans. I didn't plan to take them off every time I stopped somewhere. If you're looking for a pure over-pant that you can throw off quickly, you may want to look elsewhere.

I've ridden about 3 hours in these pants and have really only one complaint. The left knee armor is pretty uncomfortable for me. It eventually will find a home, but until then it's pretty annoying. I'd assume it's just my fit as my right knee has never had a problem. I can probably adjust the left knee a bit to get some more comfort. Just reporting what the out-of-the-box fit was like for me. Walking around these pants are extremely comfortable over jeans.

Airflow feels good. Again, have only worn these over jeans on a 50-60 degree day, but i wasn't sweating or freezing. Mesh seems good for Summer. I'm in TX, so I got these as a 4 (or at least 3.5) Texas season over-pant.

Overall they are what I wanted. Annoying left knee armor for me, but that can possibly be fixed and could easily just be my experience. Not unhappy with my purchase.

How are these pants different from the AGV Sport Solare vented pants (other than removable liners)? In the Solare review, Anthony mentions knee armour goes up to mid-shin. Is that a difference? Which would be better in terms of protection?
Vikhyath K on Jun 30, 2015
Hi viz Brian is wearing these over the boot (OTB). Does anyone wear these ITB?

Thank you.
A shopper on May 12, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Okay, I bought a pair to try inside the boot with SMX-5's and they fit pretty comfortably folded around above the ankle. The Velcro strap doesn't allow you to snug up the pant bottom tightly around the ankle, though. Still, they are more comfortable inside the boot, better than a pair of jeans. I am 5'-10" 195 lbs and wear a 34W 29L in regular cut Wrangler jeans. I got the Medium size and it fits well although the inseam is too long. But when I sit on my 2015 Ninja 1000, the kneecaps are in the right place and the pants do not feel too long. They are very comfortable and breathe pretty well without the liner.
Do these pants have hip armor? Is the armor upgradable?
A shopper on May 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the pants do have hip armor and knee armor. Both are removable from the inner mesh lining, and as long as it'll fit into the "pocket" it came from...I'm sure you'd be able to replace/upgrade to anything you want. However, they're not really adjustable...just one pocket that each pad sits in.

Hope this helps.
AGV Sport Airtex Pants - I want to pair these with the AGV Sport mesh jacket which does not come with a zipper. Do these pants ship with the matching jacket zipper?
Kevin M B on Jun 7, 2016
What's the inseam length on the medium VS. the large?
A shopper on Jun 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Great pants to go with the jacket for the money! The pants have Velcro adjustments at the hips and run small! I am a 30 inseam and 36-38 waist and I got the XL fit perfect, I went by the video I can't remember if they said to go up or down a size? But whatever Anthony said in the video I did and they fit perfect!
I wear a. 32w 30L jeans. Would a small be too long for me, putting he knee armor in the wrong place?
Joseph L on Feb 14, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Check out the size chart, you'll probably want a medium for the 32 waist. I'm 6'3 with 36 32 Jean size and the extra large fit nicely, when on the bike the knee pads hit right where they should and stick to that area pretty well but by doing this they tend to hike up a bit leaving a gap between my boot and the bottom of the pant leg when riding. There are plenty of adjustment straps too around the bottom of the leg so you can always adjust to keep them at your boot line.
Can you put these on over boots? How easy is it?
Nathan D on May 23, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The bottom of the pant leg has a zipper that comes most of the way up your calf. They go over my smaller pair of boots pretty easy, a bit of work to get them over my clodhoppers.
Does this product has knee armors?
Tushar K on Sep 16, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes they have removable knee pads.
