AGV Grid Sun Moon Helmet (Size XS Only) 4.9 5 52 52
Good helmet Although i didn't purchase this helmet from revzilla i want to write a small review about it Looks: the helmet looks fabulous in person and the colors are vibrant and very eye catchy Noise: the helmet being a race spec helmet, and is not suitable for naked bikes( i ride a 2014 Street triple), because it makes constant noise right from 40 Mph but when it tucked position its absolutely noise-less FIT: being a race helmet the area near the cheeks and jaws are fit snugly in a tapered shape but for me its little uncomfortable near the ear whenever i wear it Vision: the helmets offers a narrow vision u need to get used to it Ventilation: Superb ventilation one can feel the constant air flow from the front intake Weight: the helmet is slightly on the heavier side and my neck pains slightly during long rides Overall a great helmet in this price range and the graphics are outstanding i purchased an iridium silver visor and it looks cool June 7, 2015
This product has a great two tone design. I'm a new rider and this is my first helmet. So far it's great the air flow is is pretty good and it's a head turner. I'd definitely recommend this helmet. June 1, 2015
This is a great Helmet! Great helmet light weight very good air flow size is perfect. Highly recommend this helmet. April 27, 2015
Sun and Moon This is a nice helmet I really like the design graphics gets a lot of attention the only thing I did not like is the chin strap is a little too short so when I buckle it fits tight February 21, 2015
Best for track or heavy sport use This helmet is perfect fit for me. Keep in mind this is a very snug track style fitting helmet, there is literally zero movement while riding. I prefer this fit, the noise level is good, and is pretty light weight for its price point. Sharp helmet ratings gave it a 4/5 giving a higher rating then the Shoei GT air, HJC RPHA 10 or a number of Arai helmets in there line. So in summary this will not be my last AVG helmet. March 31, 2015
Great helmet especially for the price I bought two other helmets last year before I bought this one and all I can say after wearing this one for a year is WOW! The quality and the fit is unreal when compared to equal helmets. If anyone is considering buying it....DO IT. You will not regret it. February 26, 2015
I love this helmet My friend first bought this helmet and once I tried it on I was sold great product for the price , agv is the choice for me well made helmet ! February 16, 2015
Very nice helmet with stunning graphics In my opinion, the quality and design of this helmet is among the nicest that I have ever seen. The paint and clear coat are deep and lustrous and the fit and finish is very nice. I wear a size medium and it weighs around 3lbs, 5 oz., which is pretty light. For the most part, the helmet is extremely comfortable, with a couple of caveats. One, the helmet is a little tight when attempting to pull it on. You have to pull the straps out a little to spread it apart to get it to slip on without pain to your ears. Once it is on, everything is comfortable and plush. The other caveat is that, if you have a rather prominent proboscis like me, your nose may touch the face shield or chin-bar. You can move the helmet around a little and find a sweet spot, but it is a little aggravating. I would also say that the helmet is more race-oriented than touring and works better on a sportbike than an upright touring bike, as the helmet sits a little high on the face, giving better vision without lifting your head. The other area that is interesting is that the helmet is very quiet on a naked or semi-naked bike like my '78 Z1-R, but pretty noisy when I am riding my Versys with an MRA windscreen. Since I wear earplugs on long trips, this is not that big a deal, but something to be aware of. The flip-up face shield has very good optical quality, seals well, and stays securely in each of its 5 positions. Shield removal is a little tricky, but not difficult. Ventilation at the chin is above average and average at the brow vent. However, I found that it was a little awkward to access the chin adjuster with gloves on, which is located on the inside of the helmet in the chin bar area. One area that I think AGVs work better than most helmets is that they don't seem to fog up as badly as some, like my S---- and B---- helmets. I know that I may appear to be a little unsatisfied with some aspects of the helmet, but, on the whole I am very happy with the purchase. It is a beautiful, comfortable, and very well made helmet with a very effective face shield and works great when I have to deal with weather that fogs up other helmets to the point that I can't ride unless the shield is partially open. Would definitely buy it again! January 27, 2015

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?

A shopper asked: I'm interested in the AGV Grid helmet. I have tried on a variety of helmets, and the best fitting is the Arai Defiant (M), followed by the Arai Vector 2 (M). Most other helmets I have tried (Shoei RF1200 (M), Icon Airmada (L), HJC FG-17 (L), etc.) were all painfully tight for me at the crown, especially nearing the back of the head.

Will the AGV Grid be a good fit for my head shape? Also, will the medium size be too tight?

John B: I've never had an Arai, Icon, or HJC helmet, but I have had a couple of Shoei, a Schuberth, and an FM. I did notice that the AGV fit a little tighter than the others. For me it was more noticeable around the jaw area. If the Shoei was painfully tight, you might want to go up a size for the AGV. May 17, 2014

Adonis R: In my opinion the AGVs are a little tighter on the crown compared to the Arai's. I Have not tried on a Shoei in years. I would order a size large with the AGV Grid and if it fits, perfect. If not you can always send it in knowing the medium would fit worse compared to the large. May 17, 2014

A S: Thanks! So far my head is only comfortable in the neutral - round(er) Arais. Sounds like I should skip the AGV. May 17, 2014
Scott T: Regarding the AVG Grid. This is a snug fitting helmet. I take a size 7 hat, small to medium, and ordered the small. The helmet fits tightly and there is little room for movement. My nose just about touches the from of the helmet, which bothered me at first, but I got used to it. I would say if you are a solid medium, either be prepared for it to fit a little more snug than an Arai or Bell or just get the large. In my opinion, initially I regretted getting the small because I thought it was a bit too tight, however, I have grown used to it and the padding has compressed a little to conform to my head. Now I am thankful for it because there is no helmet shake or sloppiness with it at high speeds. Almost a year later and i have come around on the topic, now I prefer a slightly tighter helmet than I used to. Lastly, the customer service guy from revzila told me track helmets tend to run tighter than other helmets. I can now appreciate why. I hope this helps, and yes, I do love this helmet. -Scott May 17, 2014

Stacy Starbuck, U: I love mine and actually ordered a small initially she to folks saying they ran big. I had to send back for a medium. I do not wear the helmets you had listed but have a thin, oval type head vice a round one. I wear a 7 1/4 to 7 3/8 hat. Good luck!

Jimmy W asked: My friend told me that AGV Grid Sun & Moon Helmet is made in China.
Is it true ?
Apr 8, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Scott T: 04-08-14 - I just ran out to the garage and checked mine. On the liner it does say made in China. The date of manufacture is 06-20-12. I am unsure, however, if that means the liner was made in China or the entire helmet. It does make sense that the fabric portion, at least, would have been subcontracted out to China or somewhere else. However, be advised the helmet does fit snug compared to other helmets I have owned in the past. I have gotten used to it and do like the helmet. You can't beat the graphics, that's for sure. People always notice the helmet. As long as they notice me on the bike and don't hit me or cut me off, I'm happy. Apr 8, 2014

Keith M: AGV was an Italian company that was acquired by Dianese in 2007 which is an Italian company as well. I don't believe these helmets are made in China. This is a great helmet and Revzilla is a great company to do business with. Apr 8, 2014

David J asked: Does this helmet (Grid) and the AGV GP-Tech use the same shield?

Oct 16, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
John B: I don't know if the AGV GP-Tech uses the same shield as the Grid. Revzilla has the face shields for AGV GP-Tech / T-2 and the AGV Grid shields listed as separate products. I don't have an AGV GP-Tech or an AGV T-2 so I can't say for sure, but I would guess that they do not use the same shield. Oct 16, 2013
