A S: It makes my Corsa Winter test look AwsomeFeb 10, 2014
Rannel C: for added sun protection for summer riding!Jan 19, 2014
Belmar D: Wanted an alternative face shield, to the clear face shield that came with my AGV Corsa Sole Luna Rossi Helmet. The Rainbow Mirror looked like it would work well with this color scheme.
Finally got the Dark Smoke, too, for the sunny days.Dec 13, 2013
S C: I've had a dark shield for years and it's the only thing I missed going to the new Pista GP helmet. I'm also setup for notification about the yellow one because I love the way yellow makes haze and dull green grass look lush and healthy.Oct 1, 2013
A shopper asked:Hi....
I'm looking to get a shield to replace the clear one that came in mi pista gp helmet.... Witch is awesome by the way :) I get a lot of sun where I live... So I was thinking the gold iridium.... But I'm afraid it will be to dark in the afternoon/night. I also like the yellow clear coated.... But I'm afraid the sun will go right trough..
Do you have a scale of sun exposure for each different agv shield? Or what would you recommend... ? :)
Eric D:I currently have the yellow one on my Corsa but I have all the other kinds on my gp techs. The yellow one is not good for sunny riding, its makes the days even brighter if there is such thing. The iridium I dont recommend, during the day its not very protective and at night lights give it this weird halo effect that is reallly annoying. If you are looking for a good do it all I would probably buy a light smoke bc u can ride it during the day comfortably but you will still be able to see at night. But if you want the best of both worlds then u have to buy a yellow for night and a dark for day. Hope the helps!Jul 26, 2014
Belmar D:I have the Rainbow Shield but I'm pretty sure that the degree of tint, on the other Iridium lenses, is the same. They have a light tint that is not too annoying at night, once your eyes adjust. I'm pretty sure (but not positive) that it is still lighter than the Light Smoke face shield.
I have an Orange and a Yellow face shield for one of my other helmets. The clear Yellow (and Orange) shields are enhanced lenses that work great on cloudy/rainy days and at night but strain your eyes in the sun.Jul 27, 2014
Donnie S:The gold iridium is good if you have a lot of sun, it's a little dark at night but it's manageable. The yellow clear coat will let lots of sunshine. It's good at night. I don't like using the yellow clear coat.Jul 25, 2014
WILLIAM R:Not even a little bit, as far as I can tell. The stock visor fogs easily, but the helmet vents will de-fog it with no problems. Also, the stock visor comes with a laminate fog-buster, but I've never liked those things, so I've never fitted it on mine.Mar 22, 2014
Belmar D:No it doesn't. But the Pinlock System that came with the helmet works REALLY GOOD. Just remember to remove the plastic film after you have installed it or it will distort your vision. Anti-fog spray works o.k. too but it's not as effective.Mar 23, 2014
brooke S:This AGV visor uses the Pinlock insert system which includes an anti-fog insert with the helmet. This is the best anti-fog system I have experienced, zero fogging and its fairly easy to remove/insert.Mar 24, 2014
Belmar D:I finally got a chance to try this helmet a few times at night. I'm not seeing a double vision but I am getting a faint reflection of my face towards the bottom of the visor. I think it's a combination of the thickness of the visor and the amount you are tilting your head down. I notice it disappears as you go into a tuck. When your helmet is parallel to the ground, because of the angle of the visor, you're actually looking through even more plastic. I think we are stuck with it.Mar 23, 2014
Michael H:Do you have the anti fog sheet installed on your shield? I noticed after I installed it, I thought I had a dirty shield but when I finally rode during in the day light, I realized I was getting a small amount of my own face reflection due to the anti fog sheet/insert. Jan 28, 2014
