A necessary item for the Corsa helmet
I have a Corsa Racetrack helmet. It is not a well ventilated helmet compared to just about any others. With the pin lock insert, there is no fogging, without it, there will be.

I have the dark smoke visor on my agv pista gp soleluna, but sometimes I ride on night so the light smoke is the best you can have not so clear not so dark.

Nice Alternative to a Clear Visor
We get a lot of mild, Cloudy Weather in the Pacific North West. I wanted an Intermediate Visor that was darker than the Clear one, that came with my AGV Corsa Sole Luna Rossi Helmet, but lighter than the Dark Smoked. I picked the Rainbow Mirror because I hoped it would fit the Color Scheme best. EXCELLENT CHOICE.!!..
The visor's construction feels solid and it has a very mild tint that is perfect for the cloudy weather, that we get in Washington State. I plan to also purchase the Dark Smoked for the sunny days. GO SEAHAWKS !!!

My "dark smoke" shield was mislabeled.
I ordered a dark smoke shield. I received one that was stamped 50% which sounds dark enough but it was barely darker than the regular shield. The stickers on the packaging were correct so I almost kept it. The more I considered it, what is the point. Even if this was the dark shield, if it's not dark enough then it's a waste of money. Revzilla was cool as always and accepted it for refund.
I later spoke with AGV who insisted that the dark shield is not available in the US. Nobody has it. They also confirmed that the shield marked 50% is the light smoke. The only answer is that the one I received was mislabeled.
The tech from AGV could not provide a timeline for the arrival of the dark shields. Only that there was a lot of interest.
I got creative and ordered one from the UK. It arrived today and it is dark As dark as the dark Arai I had. I haven't received my VAT bill yet so it's probably a costly move but I'm tired of being blinded by the sun with my otherwise awesome helmet.

Belmar D: Wanted an alternative face shield, to the clear face shield that came with my AGV Corsa Sole Luna Rossi Helmet. The Rainbow Mirror looked like it would work well with this color scheme.Dec 13, 2013
S C: I've had a dark shield for years and it's the only thing I missed going to the new Pista GP helmet. I'm also setup for notification about the yellow one because I love the way yellow makes haze and dull green grass look lush and healthy.Oct 1, 2013
A S asked:Does this visor have an anti-fog coating?Mar 22, 2014
WILLIAM R:Not even a little bit, as far as I can tell. The stock visor fogs easily, but the helmet vents will de-fog it with no problems. Also, the stock visor comes with a laminate fog-buster, but I've never liked those things, so I've never fitted it on mine.Mar 22, 2014
Belmar D:No it doesn't. But the Pinlock System that came with the helmet works REALLY GOOD. Just remember to remove the plastic film after you have installed it or it will distort your vision. Anti-fog spray works o.k. too but it's not as effective.Mar 23, 2014
brooke S:This AGV visor uses the Pinlock insert system which includes an anti-fog insert with the helmet. This is the best anti-fog system I have experienced, zero fogging and its fairly easy to remove/insert.Mar 24, 2014
Belmar D:I finally got a chance to try this helmet a few times at night. I'm not seeing a double vision but I am getting a faint reflection of my face towards the bottom of the visor. I think it's a combination of the thickness of the visor and the amount you are tilting your head down. I notice it disappears as you go into a tuck. When your helmet is parallel to the ground, because of the angle of the visor, you're actually looking through even more plastic. I think we are stuck with it.Mar 23, 2014
Michael H:Do you have the anti fog sheet installed on your shield? I noticed after I installed it, I thought I had a dirty shield but when I finally rode during in the day light, I realized I was getting a small amount of my own face reflection due to the anti fog sheet/insert. Jan 28, 2014
