Got More than I expected I got mine about a week ago expecting just a simple lightweight Aggressive helmet but let me just say it is much more than that. Starting with the airflow, The 2 brow vents on top, I've heard people say they were restrictive and just didn't work well, This would only be the case if maybe you were comparing it to the Fox V4, I've been riding with this version of the AX-8 for about 9+ hours, The ventilation is great, Once I start sweating I can feel the air rushing in through the top across my head and around the side of my head through the side vents the only part that isn't quite as well vented is the area of you head just above your ears but with everything else this helmet has that's No reason to complain. Now to the Dri lex liner, There's not much to say besides It's Awesome! It's very soft doesn't rub your head or anything, When you sweat in it and remove it to dry it dries very quickly And I've rode in it enough to soak the inside with sweat about 4-5 times without washing it and it still has the out of the box smell, So again nothing more to say than It's Great! To the helmet overview now, With it's ultra lightweight shell, Aggressive style and Dri lex liner it really is worth every penny, Everything on this helmet including the visor, Mouth vent, Liner and cheek pads are quickly and easily removed for cleaning/maintenance Right out of the box it comes in a helmet bag mine was not scratched went over it closely the paint was flawless In the future I will most definitely buy The EVO or any future versions of this helmet if I'm in need of a new helmet August 15, 2012

Answer: 
No, you can not put an AGV AX-8 DS faceshield on the regular AGV AX-8 dirt helmet since it does not have a pivot base plate kit for that. However, you can use a pair of goggles with the AGV AX-8 dirt version.
