Great first helmet
I'm new to riding and this is a good start for a helmet. I got a large but my giant head may call for an xlarge, or I just need to break this thing in, but it hurts my ears when taking it off like they are about to get ripped off. Very stylish and plenty of vents. Haven't yet had the chance to take it through the evil Texas heat, and probably won't have to since I work nights, but it lets plenty of air through.

Great first helmet!
This was the first motorcycle helmet i have ever owned. From the pictures it is hard to tell the design of this helmet and the lack of youtube videos makes it hard to get an idea of what the helmet has to offer. for under 100 dollars this helmet is definitely worth it. the helmet has a design that is somewhat aggressive, the exhaust vents on the back are awesome and ive gotten a few compliments on the helmet. the matte black with dark smoke visor looks incredible and definitely better than i expected. the only problem is that the pain seems to be wearing off in some areas somehow. nd i see tiny areas of yellow underneath. its not noticeable unless close but i would definitely recommend this helmet its a great buy.

Great Improvement over the FX-90
The only other helmet I have used for any amount of time was an AFX FX-90. Comparing the two, The FX95 fits more of an oval head than a round. So the Large FX-90 fits a little better than the Large FX-95, for my head type (round).
It is surprisingly quite for such a cheap helmet. Moderately light and comfortable.
I was very happy with my FX-90 in all areas except airflow. The FX-95 improved upon that and overall feel of quality.

Great deal given its tag price!
Truly I did not have great expectations for an 80+ USD Helmet, expected the basic. However I was proven wrong. This helmet is light, has plenty of ventilation, keeps cool and air flows nicely inside the helm, of course when you stop it’s better to open a bit the shield. Great design and DOT compliant. Always wanted a cat’s ear helmet! It is smooth and soft with the cheeks, comfortable in medium rides, and above all plenty of vision range, Overall I am pleased with the ratio price/comfort that I got. Only reason I do not give a fifth star is that I haven’t tested it under rain just yet.

A shopper asked:Hey folks! I was just wondering if you could tell what shape this helmet is. I believe my head is in the round oval range and was hoping the AFX FX-95 would fit me without having too much excess room, like a fish-bowl shaped helmet would.
J:This helmet is definitely a long oval. The HJC CL-16 I used before the Profile left a lot of room around my cheek bones and pinched in at the front and back. In hindsight when I tried on CL-16 and the sales rep told me that "it would break in" I should have listened to my gut. I wore it in the store for 15min and was never really happy with it. The moment I put the Profile on (I happened to ride to the store so they comparison was fresh), it felt great. Try one on, if you've got a long oval this might be your helmet.May 26, 2011
buddhahb:The FX-95 is more of an oval shape. I wore a large FX-90, they are more round... but as time wore on it fit a bit loose. The FX-95 is a little too tight for my comfort, I am hoping it will break it though.
To clarify, I have a round head shape.Jan 28, 2013
ManiacalNinja:This helmet would be great for you! It's basically a fish-bowl shaped helmet. Kind of an oval-round helmet. When in doubt, find a store to try it on. Then go and order online. x-)May 10, 2011
