One design flaw on an otherwise great helmet
"This has been my main commuting helmet since I bought it a few years ago, that is, until the visor acquired a couple of matching and growing scratch marks right at eye height.
I couldn't find what caused them, but they kept growing until I realized that when the visor was fully raised these two points rubbed against the design on the underside of the peak. There is no way to avoid this contact and rubbing. Over time, the scratches started to grow from small lines to growing circle points. I took off the visor and still use the helmet as a non-highway commuting helmet in the melting central Alabama summer, but if you want a helmet with both a peak sun-shield and clear visor, this isn't it. You go with a peak, or the visor, or do the near impossible to never ever raise the visor all the way. (This problem has been spotted by a couple other reviewers at sellers' websites.)

I love this helmet.
This helmet is bright and easy to notice in traffic. It is comfortable, a perfect fit in fact the size chart was right on. I highly recommend this helmet to the rider that cares about comfort and safety.

Good helmet / Good value
I prefer a full face helmet, most of the time. But with the temperatures getting above 110 here in the summer (I live in Palm Desert, California) the open face helmet makes a lot more sense. This helmet has proved a good value. I particularly like the built in sun shade which is very useful.

Great, except for the short inner sun shade
This helmet offers a lot for the money, but also has some draw-backs. It has a comfortable intermediate-round fit, a very convenient quick-release ratchet strap, and offers great visibility. The french mustard yellow and reflectors also work well. The visor peak is stylish, but is too short to be functional. The inner sun shade does not extend down far enough, unless you're in an aggressive tuck position looking upwards. The face shield is fastened by two screws on each side and cannot be changed quickly. This helmet is heavier than other open faced helmets, but is lighter than a full face helmet. This helmet is great for commuting to work, except for the short inner sun shade.
