Cheap enuff to try
I bought hoping to cut down wind noise in my FX-39. It works for that purpose, wind noise was reduce by a bit. I would not get this in a quest to stay warmer on cold rides because the air blows right thru, which is plus for SoCal hot all the time riding. Just know that if a bee flys in your open face shield, it wont just fall out past your chin like before, I know....

I intended this to help with riding in sub zero temperatures by stopping my chin from getting bitter cold. It doesn't. That is what a baklava is for.
But what is does do is make the helmet a fair bit quieter, help deter your eyes and lips from drying out, keep the cold from making your nose run so bad, and keep the front of your face a little warmer in the winter. It just rides to high to do anything to ward off frost bite under your chin.
It wears out after a couple hundred times of putting your helmet on your handlebars, so I guess I'll buy a new one next time I put an order on here.
You will want to glue em in place though. Just make sure that none of the glue comes in contact with the styrofoam, it doesn't tend to like that.

Terry G:Well Joe, the 41 is significantly different than the 39 (looks better than the 39 too!) and though they say the curtain goes with the 39, I'd say it could probably fit most any helmet. The flexible plastic retainer slides up between the outer hard shell and the impact foam which is typical for most helmets. It's only a few $ so if it's a "no go" you're not out much. I'd try it. By the, it works great too! Good Luck. TerryApr 25, 2015
