The GlowRider™ jacket integrates patented and patent pending Electro-Luminescent (EL) technology directly into the jacket. With the push of a button, EL panels on the back and shoulders light up to significantly increase your nighttime visibility. Powered by a rechargeable lithium battery hidden in the sleeve, the EL panels will glow for 10+ hours on a full charge. So you can ride all night and still be seen. 

Like other jackets, the GlowRider™ has passive reflective material on the jacket. But reflective material only works when a light is shone directly on it. Not so good when a car is going around a turn, or you’re in a vehicle’s blind spot. The active EL panels of the GlowRider™ jacket enhance your visibility regardless of whether any light is shining on you..

A pretty good jacket This jacket fits well overall and apart from the reflective nature of it, has the cool lights inside it. I feel kinda dorky when I wear it, but hey.. it's supposed to get noticed. My only complaint is the fact that the forearm sections are fairly restrictive and get very little air-flow. The rest of the jacket feels great, though. I think some vertical reflective stripes would help the overall look and visibility. March 26, 2013
