Decent lock but the instructions are terrible.
I was looking for a simple lock to secure my helmet to my bike. I chose the Abus Combiflex Pro 202 because of the combination feature (no key to loose) and the retractable cable. The lock itself is larger than expected, I guess the pictures make it look smaller. The include instructions are a very sparse 1 page card. It took me 30 minutes on the internet to figure out how to set my own combination. The trick is that you have to push the end of the retractable cable in past the normal locking position, then you can set your own combination.

Excellent, flexible lock for gear when in non-risky places
This lock is fantastic for extra helmets, bags, even securing my saddle bags. BUT, while very strong for the job, it is just a rather thin, steel cable. I wouldn't leave it anywhere long term, nor in a high risk area. But it will deter casual passersby. I love the portability, and ease of use.

Quick stop peace of mind
Pros:
Quality construction (given intended purpose)
Ease of deployment/portability
Cost
A potential deterrent
Cons:
A potential deterrent
Somewhat cryptic instructions

Before purchasing this lock, I debated going with a standard combo padlock and bike cable but decided the compact design was worth a few extra dollars. It works for the intended purpose - short term theft deterrence with full face helmet chin guard attachment points. I won't be leaving helmet(s) on the bike on the street overnight but that wasn't the idea.
The quality of components is decent, but a determined thief with a side cutter would probably make short work of the (thin) cable. I puzzled out the customized combination through trial and error - the instructions leave much to the imagination in this regard.

Decent lock - works well for me!
I recently purchased 2 Nolan N-44 modular helmets and needed a means to lock them to the F6B when I make stops along my way. Since the N-44's have removable chin guard, the standard cable style locks don't really apply. This particular lock feeds through the helmets nylon straps that hold the ratcheting straps. This was the only means to secure these types of helmets. I used it yesterday and it worked very well. I would definitely buy this lock again.

Enjoy your outings without worrying about your helmet
As said: not for usage over night or leaving bike with helmet in dark valleys for hours. But for the regular outing; cinema, coffee, dinner lunch etc this is just perfect! I get to lock 2 helmets without issues. Not sure abt jacket. I never like, really disliked!, carrying my helmet with me. This solves it perfectly. Changing your digit code as said: 0000, press the left button and wire in, change code and voila. just youtube it; really easy.

Solid product
Works well to lock up a couple of helmets. Wish the cord was maybe a little longer but overall works well.

Seems flimsy
I like the style and ease of the unit, but the locking mechanism seems incredibly flimsy. I haven't tried, but I almost appears as if you could rip the cable out of the thin plastic locking unit. I purchased a basic coiled kryptonite cable combo lock and will probably use it more often

Need to lock my helmet onto my bike and my chin strap is too short to reach the under seat helmet lock. Thought I would loop this on in advance and then can use it as needed for short-term security.

Is the cable plastic coated so it won't scratch helmets, etc....?
A shopper on Apr 14, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes it is.
Is this lock water resistant?
A shopper on Aug 18, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I wouldn't say it's water resistant, but I don't see that a little water would bother it. It's not sealed at all so rain would easily get into the internals. Probably wouldn't hurt anything though, unless there's something in there that would rust over time. Water and then freezing would probably make it inoperable.
