Great product.
Most of my riding is in country with lots of large rocks. I have crashed with these and they stay put and I never feel the rocks. I have had the brace stuck in the fully bent position once. I had over extended the joint and one of the overlapping "plates" stuck on another part. Pressing down on the plate that was out of place so that it slid under the other plate cured the problem. They fit nicely into my MX boot tops and are comfortable.

Decent, but not what I was expecting
As always Revzilla got the product to me quick and it perfect condition. The only downside I can tell from this product so far is it is huge! I saw reviews where people said they could wear them under jeans and with boots, but that isn't the case for me. They come down to about 2 inches above my running shoes so I doubt I could wear boots with them, and as far as wearing them under jeans it isn't going to happen. I'm guessing I'm a lot smaller (5'7" 30x30 in jeans) than other reviewers because I tries and it just wont go in. So if you want something to wear outside of jeans then these are great and offer great coverage and mobility while be comfortable. If you want something under jeans then find something else.

Great bang for the buck!
I wish these were made with size options! They fit my boyfriend well and he found them to be a lot of protection for the $. He thinks the range of motion is excellent. his only complaint is when he is straight legged they are a bit uncomfortable on the shins.

Excellent Fit, great protection! Definitely Recommend.
Couldn't be more happier!! I bought the Alpinestarts Bionic SX Knee Guard, way too loose ( you can read the review on that product ) So ended up returning that and got the MSR. Fit is excellent, the straps feel very secure. The memory foam pad on the inside feels great on the knees, excellent ventilation ( I wore it over the jeans and just this on my knees for a short spin ). Product is very compact and fits like how a race jacket should fit.

Over all very impressed with the quality and fit. ( I'm 5' 11" and 174 pounds, medium/skinny built ). There was good amount of strap left so even if you have thick legs this may fit very well.

Great for commute
I use those knee guards for commuting every day. They offer a good deal of protection and easy to put one due to a smart lock-on mechanism.
On the downside, they are a bit bulky. Therefore storage will have to be considered (I lock mine on the bike with a simple Kryptonite lock) and will prevent some movements the first few times. I'm now used to them and ride comfortably.
Good purchase, highly recommended!

Love them but they'll scratch your bike
The only thing to lookout for is the metal rivets at the knee will scratch the side of your bike. I put little felt buttons on the inside rivets to stop the scratching.
Otherwise I love these things. Real easy to put on and off. Light and breathable. I think well worth the $50.

Comfortable on hot days
I got this to wear under my jeans, because my leather pants were just too much on hot days. The MSR Reflex Knee/Shin Guard with jean is a great alternative to my leather. It looks cool over or under the jeans, I prefer under for that stealthy look. Plus it's super casual for quick stops at the store or pub. It's comfortable enough for wearing around. And when I don't need it, it's easy off and on.

I think this could even work with a pair of baggy shorts, but I won't go there.

Note: I regularly wear loose fit jeans for under the pants look.

Overall a good product, just some small issues.
Good: well-protected, well made, movement of articulation, simple straps for easy on-off, removable and washable liner, forget I am wearing them sometimes.

Bad: bulky (but will fit under a pair of loose jeans), scratchy (although this is going away), tend to ride down after a bit of walking, not much air flow, can't hug the tank with my knees anymore.

Summary: Perfect if you want something that will protect your knees at an affordable price. Obviously not for knee dragging.

When I walk around in these I feel like robocop lol.

A riding buddy was wearing these guards on a recent ride. I tried them on - they were confortable and offered protection from the top of my boot to mid thigh. Much superior to the kneepads in my riding pants that WILL NOT stay in the proper position.

I am learning off-road skills on my DR650 Dual Sport and want to buy some knee/shin guards.
Are these suitable in MX boots and under MX pants?
How do these compare in protection to something like the "Thor Force" type knee/shin guards?
Is there a RevZilla video review of this product?
Thanks

BEST ANSWER: These fit under AGV Sport Corsica Kevlar Jeans (which are pretty tight - see product description) - but you have to peel the jeans off turning them inside-out to get the jeans off. Don't know about MX. They click when you walk as the only annoying thing. Takes about 5 seconds to put each one on once adusted. They come down to the top of my boots and about 1/3 to 1/2 up the thigh depending whether I am standing or sitting. I am 5'10". I have not come off in these but would assume they would work best under some abrasion resistant garment to prevent displacement. They are comfortable. I have worn these for several hours at a time. In warm temperatures you will sweat under the neoprene.
This product comes in pair?

BEST ANSWER: It comes as a set, one left specific and one right specific
under a pair of Shift Torque or Icon Victory?
A shopper on Dec 5, 2011
BEST ANSWER: The knee guards should be fine under either of those jeans, as both jeans have a loose fit.
