MSR Reflex Knee/Shin Guards
This product does what it is supposed to do.
A good value for the protection you need. I specialize in good communication skills. The above review is what every person riding wants to understand.

Great protection for the money
They are not the best knee protection out there but they are decently made and offer substantial protection. Range of movement is great and they are comfortable.

Great for commute
I use those knee guards for commuting every day. They offer a good deal of protection and easy to put one due to a smart lock-on mechanism.
On the downside, they are a bit bulky. Therefore storage will have to be considered (I lock mine on the bike with a simple Kryptonite lock) and will prevent some movements the first few times. I'm now used to them and ride comfortably.
Good purchase, highly recommended!

Comfortable on hot days
I got this to wear under my jeans, because my leather pants were just too much on hot days. The MSR Reflex Knee/Shin Guard with jean is a great alternative to my leather. It looks cool over or under the jeans, I prefer under for that stealthy look. Plus it's super casual for quick stops at the store or pub. It's comfortable enough for wearing around. And when I don't need it, it's easy off and on.
I think this could even work with a pair of baggy shorts, but I won't go there.
Note: I regularly wear loose fit jeans for under the pants look.

Great protection for the price!
I wear these over khakis or jeans and under textile riding pants. I haven't worn them on any long trips yet, but for commuting they have been very comfortable and I usually can't even tell that they're on. I also experienced the slight digging into the shins when walking with them, and if the mid straps aren't tight enough they can slide down while walking (more so over khakis than over jeans). Regarding the critique about them locking in the fully bent position, I could not recreate this problem.

Get something else
Look like they would give good protection if you go down and thanks to the inferior design you just might! The problem is when you bend your knees the bottom of the inner knee cup has a little lip that is supposed to act as a catch and keep it from extending past the top of the lip on the shin guard but it doesn't work instead it comes out past the lip on the shin guard, Result: the knee guards lock in that position and you can't straighten your leg back out. Not only is this inconvenient but it can creat a very unsafe situation. The last thing you need when riding is protective gear that creates and unsafe distraction quite possibly resulting in a crash. Save your money and get something better You'll be glad you did.

Overall a good product, just some small issues.
Good: well-protected, well made, movement of articulation, simple straps for easy on-off, removable and washable liner, forget I am wearing them sometimes.
Bad: bulky (but will fit under a pair of loose jeans), scratchy (although this is going away), tend to ride down after a bit of walking, not much air flow, can't hug the tank with my knees anymore.
Summary: Perfect if you want something that will protect your knees at an affordable price. Obviously not for knee dragging.
When I walk around in these I feel like robocop lol.
