The right hip pad for me.
Have these in a pair of Darien pants. Had tried Aerostichs pads, but found them too bulky for me. These fit well, are thin and comfortable. Haven't fallen with these, so can't speak to protection, but I do feel they will help pad my hips.

I'm a big fan of D3O armor and these pads were perfect to add to a pair of Kevlar jeans. They are soft and a lot more flexible than many hip pads, yet offer protection and peace of mind. If you're looking to be creative and add armor to a pair of jeans these are the way to go as you just need to add the loops for the velcro to attach to. Good product and great price for some needed protection.

I got these pads for my Klim Dakar pants to replace the wimpy pads that come with them. They fit perfectly in the pockets, flow plenty of air even in 85 and humid Hawaii! They are so thin, pliable and conforming to my hip that I hardly notice they are there. I feel better knowing they are though since I ride in lots of rocks, and have got a bit of a hooligan streak on the pavement as well. Besides fitting in the hip pad pocket they also have substantial velcro for MX style pants. I am VERY happy with RevZIlla as well, they were very helpful with my purchase of this and other gear, and the shipping was lightning fast!

Great upgrade from standard foam hip pads
I have four pairs of riding pants for different situations: MotoBoss AirSpeed4 mesh for street; Answer Syncron and Fox 180 for off-road; Klim Dakar for dual-sporting. Note that none are the MSR brand that these pads are said to be compatible with.
However, these pads work great with all of them, whether they attach with Velcro or slip into a pocket.
I never thought the thin foam pads that came with all of the different pants offered much in the way of actual protection.
These, however, look like they actually might prevent some injury.
And the price was too good to pass up!

Upgrade your pants armor with Non-Neutonian material
Great Deal! A little small and thin, but it doesn't bulk up the pants.

Mike P:The pads in their pockets measure approximately 145mm wide by 230mm long by 15.5mm thick. The top 45mm or so is for the Velcro attachment. The pockets have a perforated foam layer which adds thickness.
The d3o pads themselves are approx. 132mm wide by 176mm long by 8.3mm thick.
Compared to other pads they are on the small, thin side. I took the pads out of the pockets and put them in a pair of Scorpion Covert jeans, which have smallish pockets, and they fit well,Apr 22, 2014
Neil W:David, since purchasing my set I haven't had a chance to use them in anger due to a couple of circumstances, but what I can say is that do seem a bit smaller than what I expecting. They do seem positioned well to protect the hip bone, but I haven't put them to the ultimate test as yet. I ride Trials, so my get offs will tend to be low speed any way ! Neil WApr 22, 2014
Michael N:These fit perfect in a pair of Aerostich AD1 pants. Much smaller than Aerostich T3 pads, but they are huge. They provide sufficient coverage, but not the whole hip area if that's what you're looking for.Apr 22, 2014
