Answer Apex Knee Guard 5 5 1 1
Saved me at least one trip to the hospital so far. I'm new to off road trail riding so mistakes are inevitable. So far these knee/shin guards are my most treasured piece of gear as they have saved me from crashes that would have certainly sent me to the hospital. My very first crash with the apex pads on was a downhill where my front tire washed out and I flew off and slid on my knees into a pile of very sharp granite rocks. I landed directly on these pads and they got a little scratched but I was unscathed. Velcro/elastic bands keep the pad fixed well enough. Plenty of life left in these pads to keep me going for many crashes to come... and when they wear out I'll buy another set. May 21, 2012

It says in the description that there are 3 straps, but I only see 2 in the picture. I'm assuming the third strap goes behind the knee?
