I began my motorcycling career rebuilding a pair of old two-stroke Suzukis and as soon as I got my bearings, I realized immediately that 250ccs would not be enough. I have always liked a good trellis-framed bike and was immediately drawn to the original Monster. I sold my 4-wheeled transport and moved permanently onto 2. The Ducati was a great modern bike to learn on. When that met it’s demise at the hands of a Hummer, The next move was onto a KTM. Riding everyday, carving corners on the weekend and the occasional multi-state trip are great on the new bike and I couldn’t be happier. The 690 Duke is light and packs a good punch for a single-cylinder. When I’m not riding, I follow endurance and vintage auto racing like Le Mans and Sebring.
As a commuter, I need to be ready to ride every morning, regardless of conditions.
As a commuter, I need to be ready to ride every morning, regardless of conditions. Never did I think I would become such an avid follower of weather and traffic reports. Every choice in gear must be made with the commute in mind, what conditions I may encounter, and the seasonality that comes with the territory. I can use the knowledge I gain as a rider to make suggestions and give advice to other riders.
Favorite thing about RevZilla?: I have been a customer here at RevZilla for a long while but decided that I needed to make the move to Philadelphia to be a part of it everyday. The motorcycle industry is constantly evolving and I would be following it regardless. Being a part of the team here lets me incorporate my inherent nerdiness with what I do for a living. They say you learn something new everyday. I would say I learn something new here on an hourly basis!
