Project 156: Race To The Clouds, Part 2

...in its attempt to be more American than anything has ever been before.

Canet is excited the engine and builder are American, Sands wants to stick it to the Italians and Japanese, and maybe a German or two (excuse me, but your partnership with BMW is showing). I was half expecting this video to turn into our deals video from last July, with American flags hanging in the background and bald eagles bringing Roland parts.

OK Sean, time to say something nice.

I have to hand it to the Victory video team: They're at least taking this thing serious. The production on this video is nuts and little touches like sketches morphing into the parts they represented at the 12- and 15-second marks were really neat.

This video also finally gives us a look at the massive V-twin motor Victory has come up with (it was blurred in the first video), and it was cool to get a look at the testing. Seeing the whole team watching the first test and hoping they'd just built something really cool made me want to root for them.

If this video series doesn't end with Sands and Canet spiking an American flag into the ground at the top of Pikes Peak, I'm going to be severely disappointed. In the meantime, we look forward to seeing where this series of videos goes as it leads up to the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb on June 22-28.
