2013 BMW R1200GS Parts

The latest edition of the highly sought after BMW R1200GS has hit the streets. A totally redesigned 1170CC engines offers a combination of air and liquid cooling. Instead of coolant oil, it uses a glycol-water mixture BMW claims offers a high level of heat absorption capacity.The changes increase the output to 123 hp at 7700 rpm and  92 ft-lb at 6500 rpm, up from the previous model’s claim of 110 hp and 89 ft-lb. 3.

The 2013 R1200GS also offers a new ride by wire throttle control system that offers five selectable modes – Rain, Road, Dynamic, Enduro and Enduro Pro – which offer multiple fueling and engine dynamics to meet varying conditions. Other updates include BMW’s dynamic Electronic Suspension Adjustment system. The Dynamic ESA monitors wheel and spring travel sensors that automatically alter damping to suit changing riding conditions by activating regulation valves in both the front telelever and rear paralever suspension.

Aesthetic updates include an LED main light with an integrated daytime running light, a first on any production motorcycle according to BMW, and an adjustable windshield, that has multiple positions controlled by a selector wheel that can be adjusted with one hand.

The R1200GS also features adjustable seating for both rider and passenger offering height and tilt angle adjustments for maximum comfort on long adventures. The passenger seat also has a longitudinal adjustment offering the ability to increase or decrease the distance between the rider. Coupled with adjustable handlebars and foot pegs makes the R1200GS ready to ride in comfort around the world.
